I have been having problems with it. I have heard before that you have to edit .nif files for it to work. I open it in notepad, and the whole thing is gibberish except a few lines that have words in them. they mostly say "ostrich_M.dds" or something like that. So I was thinking that am I supposed to replace ostrich with the new animal's code name? thanks

no to edit them well, they are the wire frame for the animal, and we don't have a Nif Importer Yet

the line ostrich_M.dds has to be renamed to the new texture file...and it has to be the same length.
