"crash" After Presentation Movie

Hi,

I've just bought zoo tycoon 2 and its extension. i've installed both, the "presentation movies" are fine but when they are over i get a window with only a rectangle in the middle of the screen (oversized part of the menu) and white letters on it (like "code" things). I've tried to restart, uninstall and just install zoo tycoon 2 = same problem.

I'm using a Toshiba laptop 5200-701
Intel pentium 4 b 1.9 Ghz
hard drive 40 Go
512 RAM
nVIDIA Ge Force4

DirectX 9 was autmatically installed with the game.

I've checked the requirements, everything should be fine (I even asked at the computer store where I've bought the game).

Did someone got the same kind of issue ? I've never had such a problem with a video game  (I even played the demo on an older computer, it was working fine). After restart, reinstallation the only solution left is to bring back the game to the store unless someone has any tips...

This may be kind of obvious, but the disc is clean and not scratched right?

I'm not really sure what could be wrong but this happened with the ZT2 Expansion Pack demo I downloaded awhile back...I just thought I would post that.
