Altering Size

I have read APE2 and have gone over my xml file frivolously. here is my prob,
it says to search BFActorComponent then you will find scale=#
but this is what i get


               
How can i edit this so i don't corrupt the file?

ive read that,the thing is, the word "scale" isnt even in that document but the word BFActorCompenent is.

Try searching for just "scale" then, in the Adult_M or Adult_F .xml

i only found it in th _Young.xml i searched them all

EDIT!

could i just add scale="0.45"/> into

at the end?

I guess I don't understand your question. If your file didn't have it, then you can assume that the scale is 1. THen you should adjust as needed

You don;t need to alter the size for an animal to work, no. The only time you mess with it is if you want to change the size of it.

ok i have a question, i am making a peafowl variant and the body works but the crown and train that i made don't. the original crown and train does. I'm pretty sure i put the files together right and saved them right. Could someone enlighten me? :hmmm: (sorry about so many pics)

2D parts of files cannot have variants. The crown and the tail are both 2D parts, and so the only way they can be changed is by coding them as a separate animal.
