Title: kiwah's ZT 2 Zoos
Post by: kiwah on April 21, 2006, 01:31:47 PM
I decided to start a Yafi zoo. Here is the map.
Yafi Zoo Map (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Yafizoo.jpg)
I have the E.S. Expansion Pack if you would like to include animals from that.
I set up a sky tram system to give us more room for exhibits.
If you would like to request an exhibit you need to include,
Exhibit number
animal
number of animals
genders
and names.
Every once in a while I will change the map to show exhibits and animals are taken and who they are reserved for.
I will allow mixed exhibits, if you wish to have two or more different species in an exhibit.

Let's see... Exhibit 14, eight gemsbok, three males five female. Males could be named Uruald, Adamar and Balador, the females Ralidah, Kalana, Lukia, Ekaeli and Sirona. (Or you can pick names. Either or... These are just names I like.  :D )

*AHEM* I will have a cordon bleu, please! :hehe

I'll have 12 flamingoes, 6 male, 6 female, named, Franklin, Salk, Plato, Rosalind Franklin (female), Gerard Krefft, Aristotle, Socrates, Edison, Einstein, Gallileo, Mantel, and finally, and of course the greatest one of all...Ace Ventura (I just saw the movie :hehe  :hehe )!

I'll also have two hippos named Limpy and Lumpy. I want them all in Exhibit 16. If that's too small for their requirements, I'll take 8 instead.

EDIT: Oh sorry, didn't see the previous post. Took me a while to come up with names!

EDIT 2: Please include a large body of water.

Winxhorse and giraffedude, you both want number six. Are either one of you willing to give it up?

Oh by the way, besides the mess with Winxhorse and dandelion mane, requests are closed, for I am working on pictures!

Dandelion Mane, I know you got there first but I think it would be a bit more fair to give it to Winxhorse because they haven't requested before. This isn't a final decision. I'll let you two duke it out.

Not many exhibits left, so I am keeping requests open for a while. Always look at the map before you request.

Sure Koala King. Sorry for the lack of koala pictures.

Forget about the rule for only requesting twice. Three is the limit. It makes more sense.

Requests closed. I have to go to school.

Jurrasicmatt is unable to post but he Pmed me and asked for polar bears in exhibit 19. so now we only have three more exhibits left.

congratulations madamemoody, winxhorse, and kingcow, you have the last three exhibits! But it is sad to say. Now, the zoo is done.

I still have pictures though.

This Okapi (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/okapihughsey.jpg) sems to be loko, (which happens to be it's name) and thinks it's a human.

Just hangin' (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/koalakoalaking3.jpg)

The Ninja Turtles (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/koalakingturtles.jpg) after retirement.

Another case of an animal trying to be a human, he standing on two legs! This time it is a Polar Bear (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/jurrassicmattpolabear.jpg)

" I'll catch you Girraffe that Girraffedude requested, but let me get out of this darned exhibit first!" (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/hughseyhorse.jpg)

Just a nice picture of Prosper The Bison (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/hughseybison.jpg) taking a drink.

"I feel pretty, oh so Pretty, I feel pretty, and Witty and Gay....." Stop bragging and strutting around you Fennec Fox (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/dandelionmanefoxes.jpg)!

This zoo will be up for download shortly, so keep your eyes open!

Oh no! wait a second! Winxhorse, exhiibit 19 is taken! and we cannot yet celebrate! Can you take exhibit 12? it is the only one left!

I have to go so requests will be closed for a bit. Winxhorse is the only one who I am waiting for an answer for anything from. If they don't reply I might have to give 12 to someone or just put the panthers in 12.

I will be showing pics of it, but probably in a different topic. I had you in mind when I made it Koala King. I figured that it wasn't quite fair that you couldn't get the yafi.

The zoo is all of the savannah animals that aren't ES. Oh wait a sec koala king, I have one ES thing. An elevated path. I might be able toget rid of it, but it is a big part of the zoo. I am so sorry! The next download I make will have no ES stuff. Promise!

Post by: kiwah on July 20, 2006, 04:01:54 PM
Day 1

I arrived at my destination. After a long journey I was finally there. I entered the reserve and looked to down. What I saw was water. There was water everywhere. Aftyer a chat with a zookeeper that worked there, I soon learned that the only current animals were four moose. One of which ( whose name I had been told was July ) was going to deliver a baby soon. I hopped into the boat and started along the river. Near the back of the reserve were beautiful lakes. I marveled at the beauty of it all. I had never seen anything like it. My mission was to make this empty place a thriving reserve. We had only earned $10,000 so far, so our choice of animals was limited. I knew of an organazation called zoo admin. I had a feeling the members might like to help choose animals.

I need one animal that is $10,000 or less. Whoever posts it first is the person who will be given credit for the animal. Whatever animal they choose is the animal that will be used.
P.S. That map took a while to make!

Day 2

Today we recieved a white rhinocerous, Kim, and to keep him company, Tracy. Kim had a past. He used to be a circus rhino, living life ine a chain, being whipped and ridden around a sweaty arena. When Kim became sick, the circus no longer wanted him, so they brought him here. We soon cured him, and now he is good as new. I managed to get a snapshot of him. As you can see, he is much happier here.
Kim:(http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Future%20falls/enlarged-2.jpg)

Week 2

I was woken up in the middle of the night with a call saying that there was an emergency. I drove down the block to see a injured peacock in the middle of the road. I rushed him to the reserve and took a look at his wing. it looked horrible. I wrapped it up and slept in the exhibit with him for a week. On friday I took off his bandages. By Sunday, I was shocked to see that his wing was better. As soon as he realized this he flew up into a tree, and took a well deserved nap. We got Chile a companion as he slept, and the two peafowls became fast friends.
Chile:(http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Future%20falls/enlarged-3.jpg)

Week 3, Monday

A zoo that was closing down had 4 thompson's gazzelles that no one wanted. I took in the four gazelles, and named them Sky, Mac, Thomas, and Denice. Denice seemed to enjoy it here alot, and began to run around at once. Once she stopped I gave her a pat on the head and told her to get some rest.
Denice:(http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Future%20falls/enlarged-4.jpg)

I need two more. I will count the gray wolf but next time on;y request an animal when I say I am open. Now I am open.

Week 3, Tuesday

A nearby village had been complaining about wolves stealing all of the deer. they finally trapped two and had them in a pne. BY the time I arrived there were sticks and stones everywhere. There were even some spears. The villagers called it self defense, I called it cruel. I tried to tell the villagers to stop but they wouldn't so in the end I had to jump in the pen and show them they were harmless. I knew that the villagers would start throwing sticks again, so I took the wolves, Marko and Delilah, to the reserve. Marko was worse off than Delilah. Here he is in his new home washing up.
Marko:

Week three, Thursday

I decided to visit a nearby zoo on my " day off ". I walked by the jauguars exhibit when I realised, Stryker, the male jaguar, was very thin. When I asked a zookeeper about him the keeper said, " Oh, him. You're not the first operson to ask about him. He's sort of young, so the other jaguars bully him. They eat all of his food too. We've tried to sytop the other jaguars but that only resulted in one of the zookeepers getting attacked. He's in the hospital right now." I offered to take Stryker off their hands. Not only did they give me Stryker, they gave me another Jaguar, one of the nicer ones. Snow and Stryker soon adjusted to their homes.

The next morning Chile and Amour became a mother and father. They were a perfect pair.

Week four, Monday evening.
A group of six barbary apes had been found lost in the city. knowing they wouldn't last long I rushed to where they had been spotted. I crated them and brought them on a trailer to the reserve. Making their exhibit was alot of work, but we managed to do it. Most of them rushed to get to the food.

Week four, tuesday

I decided to take a trip. get away from the reserve for a bit. I went to canada. On my tour I saw some Musk Ox. When I asked the guide about them, he said that they were nice, but hard to capture. He was right. Aftera long time of chasing Musk Ox I decided to see If I could get them another way. The zoo that I got Stryker from was getting rid of the musk ox and making room for polar bears. I managed to get them and now I have six musk ox at the reserve. I've gotta run though. Vinal's chasing me.

week four, Thursday

When I woke up I turned on the radio. apparently there were four bison up for grabs. They had previously been abused and some of them were close to dying. I rushed over to where they were being sold and bid until I couldn't. I won. As I brought the four crated bison to their home I wished silently that they would like it at the reserve. They did.

Cheshire zoo has two female gibbons that are needing a new home, the two girls are sister that were born at the zoo, but need rehoming so we can continue breeding this endangered species.  Would your reserve like to take them?

By the way their names are Sundra (a 10 yr old) and Kitanai (a 4 yr old).  Kitanai is the more out going of the pair but will need the reinsurance of her older sister.

Hope you can take them on!

Week five, Wednesday

I recently heard about an organazation who's goal was to breed endangered species. I rescued six Prezwalski's wild horses named velvet, dakota, misty, shadow, P.J., and marylegs. I found an exhibit with a small lake and after fixing it up, introduced the horses to their new home.

I adopted two Ratels, one of which had been injured. The female had been living in a hole that was made by construction workers. When the workers went back to their abandoned project the ratel was thrown about. She and her companion are now safe at the reserve.

I decided to mget four african elephants and try to set up a breeding program. I will probably send some of them to the wild later on, but for now, Sire, Lass, Noble, and Duchess are living happily at the reserve.

Week thirty eight, monday

Grizzly bears were slowly becoming endangered. Their homes were being destroyed by human machines. Four baby grizzlies had become seperated from their mothers, and I took them in. Now they are all grown up, months later, and living happily.

Only two exhibits left everyone!!!!! I am closed for the day and requests will be open again at about 12:00 tommorow afternoon after my camp. See you guys then.

a problem here. I have three requests, and two exhibits. . No more requests everyone!!

I am assuming pokemonKD meant red panda.  What I will do is this. ethiopian wolves and snow leopards will go in their own exhibits. I will move common peafowl into another exhibit and add red pandas in with then. How's that? It might not work But I'll try to fit it all.

No more requests.

Since we were running out of space in the reserve, I decided to make a mixed exhibit. I brought four red pandas, and four giant pandas to the reserve. Getting a hold of them wasn't easy, as they are endangered. The only reason why I got them, was because I promised to try and breed them. They are now living happily together, and I hope they continue to.

Ethipian wolves were next on my list. A nearby zoo donated four of them. The zoo was being closed down because they had mistreated their animals. I got the wolves because they were in the worst shape. My reserve had been open for a while and I was becoming more famous in the world. By now many had heard of the reserve and all of the animals that had been saved there. The  wolves are living happily  in their spacious alpine exhibit next to the lake and so far they seemto love it here.

Many people were starting to research snow leopards. I was very happy about this until I learned  how they were researching them. Some scientists had captive snow leopards. What they did to the leopards was horrible. Some were being tested, and others killed. as soon as word got around the scientists were tracked down and the experiments were shutdown right away. I saved four snow leopards, and here are two of them at their new home at the reserve.

My solution to the problem of the extra requests was solved. I split one exhibit in half. The zoo will be up for download later today. Please note that it is closed for a reason. Please do not open the reserve to the public (meaning the guests in ZT2).

It's over folks!!! I will post when the reserve is up for download. Until then, please comment on what you thought of this project. I am definetely going to do more things like this later on.

Ok, this is a nice idea and everything, but its too confusing.  How are you getting so many animals?  You seem to be able to be everywhere at once, what with all the animals you have!  Where is the zoo located anyway?

Wonderful story!!  Except for one thing.  I know this may sound cruel, but sometimes animal testing has to be done.  If they were just testing for the sake of testing, I understand, its terrible.  But, if they were testing things like medicine, humans come first.  Sorry if that was off topic.  But amazing pictures and great story anyhow.

I know. Another one. I finish Future Falls and then launch right into another one!!

Anyway

Kolorian, a female Javan Rhinoscerous, has been captured in a trap and taken from her natural home.

She was brought to a small enclousure with hard icy ground and one small tree. They did not feed her, groom her, play with her, or treat her kindly. In fact they did the exact opposite. They threw sticks , rocks, and other objects at her, and whipped her frequently when she did not calm down. This enraged her even more, until she couldn't control it any more. This activity has been going on for three months. She has a fear and hate of humans, and trusts no one. The people who were abusing her say she has gone mad.  They turned themselves in just to get away from the rhinocerous. The rhino is now up for adoption. Not many people want a rhinoscerous that is dangerous and could easily kill you, but there is a chance that she will get a good home. If she doesn't within two months she will be killed. Should we adopt her?

At seraphii's request I called up animal control and told them I'd take the rhino. They were baffled at my choice, but sent her to me anyway. Kolorian was now in my care. There was always the hard part though. Getting her to stop hating humans. It would take a while, but I was up to the challenge.

On day one I kept my distance, and only went into her exhibit to fill her food dishes when she was asleep. By the next week I was pretty confident. I walked into kolorian's exhibit, when she was awake. I was scared out of my pants, but when she approached my, I stood as still as stone. To my releif she looked me over sniffed me, and walked away. A month later we were great friends, and we both looked forward to my daily visit. When I walked up to her, she would nuzzle my hand. Kolorian was happy now.

Day one, Kolorian's roaring again

Two striped hyenas have recently been discovered. They had been kept in a small concrete pen, where they grew sick and hungry. They tried in vain to escape, and they grew sicker and sicker each day. They started fighting. They were both hungry, and they  were going to kill each other to get it. One day as they were fighting a guest crept over unnoticed to the area. They got two pictures of the hyenas. They called the cops, and the zoo was closed down, and the owners of it were arrested. The story was in the paper the next day.

"Lyell Brothers sent to jail"

The article said that the two hyenas were up for adoption. should we get them?

Eight Ibex were recently delivered to a local zoo. Unfortunately, frusterated at the fact that they were not what they thought they were like, the four Ibex were placed in a small uncomfortable exhibit. when guests saw the unhappy animals there were many complaints. The animalswere taken from the zoo and are now up for adoption. We can adopt these Ibex, or let someone else take them. What should we do?

A group of ten penguins has been captured and brought  to a local zoo. The zoo was on a very low budget and could not provide the proper home for the penguins. Six of three penguins have already been adopted and we can get the last four if we help the zoo out and work with them to get them more money and fame. At times we might end up donating money to their zoo if we accept this offer. What should we do?

Sorry you guys. Really sorry. The computer which I play Zt2 on was having major problems. My dad should have it fixed today!!!

I cannot get pictures of these gys but I will still post just to keep it updated.

Two warthogs have been taken from their homeland. They are in good care for now but it is temporary. They are looking for a new home. If we give the current owners of the warthogs Linda, our striped hyena, we can get the two warthogs.

On the plus side:
1. We get two warthogs which are a male and female that will be able to breed.
2. We will still have a hyena and we are getting two animals for one.
3. We may get alot more money in donations for these animals and we are running low on money.

Down side:
1. Parker ( the other hyena ) may get lonely.
2. Linda was becoming a bit of a special animal to the staff at our zoo and we were getting a lot of donations for her.
3. Linda is pregnant.

P.S. Timewatcher, I choose the animals, but you might see asian elephants in the future. please do not post requests saying what animals I should do as I will try and do every one. I am using a large grassland zoo for this so I should be able to fit alot of them.

I think you should keep Linda. Does the owner of the warthogs have another hyena? A larege place for her to run? Enough food? These are all questions to consider if you would give Linda away. And, with the zookeepers and guests liking her so much, it would be best if she stayed. If she is a favorite, it means more people come to your zoo. If she is gone, the people that really liked her may not come anymore( or not as often). And imagine the joy for guests and zookeepers when Linda has pups! Your zoo is better off with Linda.

Awesome story! I love the first one too.

thanks for all the compliments you guys! I will keep linda. Here is a newspaper story about the warthogs.

Warthog scandal!

A pair of warthogs had recently been up for adoption. The zoo that took them gave the previous owners a pair of bengal tiger babies. This was a very unfair trade, but the zoo was told they would also receive a cash grant with it. When the former owners arrived with they crated animals, they handed them the money and went. Later that night when the warthogs were being checked over the animals were both found to be incredibly sick. They were rushed to an animal hospital where they were being treated.  They had been in horrible care and were not well taken care of. the two tiger babies are being looked for as we speak. Hopefully they will be found and the previous owners of the warthogs will be tracked down and arrested. Once the warthogs are a bit better they will be given to a local zoo.

I of course still interested in obtaining these animals talked to one the owner of the warthogs and told him about my zoo. I made him a deal. He could visit and be with the warthogs whenever he wanted, and would be given a free pass to see them. He accepted my offer and we will receive the warthogs once they are well.

A band of meerkats has escaped from a nearby zoo. People call them "the little bandits" as they have been going around town nipping at people's feet and being mischeivious. If you find the meerkats and capture them you get to keep them, as the former owners no longer want such a naughty group of meerkats. Should we look for them or not bother. After all, they don't sound like very nice meerkats. They would however be a nice addition to the zoo, and getting all those meerkats for free? It's a hard decision. Maybe some of your friends at Z.A. can help you out.

Well, easier said than done. Finidng them wasn't that hard but catching them, whew! I had one of my zookeepers, keeper baker, help me catch them, and finally we got all the little rascals in a crate. They were brought to the zoo and they are now exploring their exhibit. We have had a couple attempted escapes, but we foil their plans every time.

A group of geladas being held in bad care has been offered to us. The amount of geladas is unknown but the price for the group would be 100,000 dollars. We may be getting more or less than we paid for. Should we take a chance and save these geladas?

sure luckybunny. I just need another girl name now. I was wrong, both the baby ibex were girls. Paula the penguin laid an egg. and remember Skylark? The striped hyena? She's already grown up!!

A local zoo has been running low on finance, and are forced to sell some of their animals. The animals up for adoption are four zebras and two aardvarks. Because there are four zebras and only two aardvarks the zoo says that if we choose to adopt the aardvarks they will support our zoo when they are in better condition. The price is 20,000 for the aardvarks and 30,000 for the zebras. Being a generous person, I promised to help out the zoo out. What animals should we get? The first animal posted is the animal that we get, so be quick!

anyway.......

"And then tha' stupid lion, well it ate old bess it did, Poor bess. She was a great horse. I'll get tha' lion if it's tha' las' thing I d-"
" Slow down sir. We need all the details."
" Detail!! Tha' thing ate ol' bess! "
" When?"
" This mornin'. I woke up got outta my bed an saw a lion eating ol' bess'es remains."
" Where did the lion go?"
" Tha' way."* points north*
" We will have the lion captured shortly sir."
" Shortly? Whens tha'? I just want  tha' thing dead!"

As you can see a farmers herd of horses was attacked by a linoess this morning. One photo was taken of the culprit and we took one photo of the barn and house.
When the animal is recovered it will be killed unless claimed by a shelter or nearby zoo. This may not be wise because it is thought that the animal has rabies. This is still a theory, and hasn't been confirmed, what we do know is that this is a very violent animal.

We have the opportunity to obtain four striped hyenas for $60,000. two of them are boys, and two of them are girls. This will allow the possibility of breeding the other hyenas we have, but will cost us quite a bit of money. $60,00 is a lot of money right now. We will be able to pull through, but it ill be hard. I will probably open the zoo if we make this deal. I was trying to wait a while longer but there is no reason to.Opening the zoo will give us lots of money, which would help us a lot if we make this deal. Should we do it?

I am so sorry. All of the people that post in this project often, but I must stop the project. I made the mistake of using a large zoo, and now whenever I open it, it is almost too slow to operate. I was jut playing and for the first time it freaked out. fences grew taller and some went transparent.  Most of the terrain turned black, every guest was split in half, as were the buildings. I managed to get it back to normal by quitting the game, but I am afraid it will happen again. I'm so sorry.

There will however, *drum roll* be a BRAND NEW PROJECT!!!!!!

I ask that this thread name be changed to Cornerstone Zoo project.

Cornerstone Zoo is a very run down zoo. the owners were running out of money,  and were forced to sell it. I bought the zoo, and it is now my job to fix it up.

Pics coming soon.

Luckily the owners of cornerstone zoo realized their problem early on, and there are not many animals. the zoo consists mainly of concrete, dirt, a bench, a garbage can, some animal food, a rock, a female black panther, a male reticulated girraffe, and four gemsbok. when I arrived at the zoo I was shocked. It was worse than I thought.

When I was building the exhibit the animals were all in a seoerate holding exhibit. Before I let them in later though, I groomed and fed them. I put them in their spacious exhibit and they went wild. the ran around, explored, played with each other, they were so happy! I finally got a picture of one of them gorging themselves on fresh hay.

Fred jones the giraffe got a new home ( long story about the name. )
Fred Jones (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/fredjones.jpg)

Shops (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/foods.jpg)
and a breeding center.
Conservation breeding center (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/breedingcenter.jpg)
Most of the concrete paths were uprooted and replaced by pretty stone paths. After all this work, I kicked back and relaxed on a new bench, and the next day opened the zoo.

 beware the :badgnome:. Thanks budgielover

The guest started coming to the zoo today, and so did the money. I was amazed at the amount of money we made. In fact, we made enough money to make another exhibit!
When I looked up the current animal's up for adoption, I was surprised. There were a lot of them. I narrowed it down to flower the gibbon from a nearby animal refuge that was forced to close, Morris, a male Sable antelope from Lackey Street Zoo, and Friday, a male koala from a nearby city zoo. All The animals were in perfect condition, and there was a zoo that promised to sell me either a male gibbon, or a female sable antelope, depending on which animal I chose to buy. They couldn't sell me a koala, but I was determined to find another one if I chose to adopt Friday. I couldn't decide.

(Thats your que to say, get the ____.)
P.S. the animal refuge mentioned earlier was save the animals!

I was wandering around the zoo wwhen I noticed something. It looked boring. The animals were great but the rest? BORING. No wonder the previous guys never made a profit. I decided to get some things to help spruce it up.
I wanted to get a fountain. I could get,

an elephant fountain
a splash fountain
a tiger fountain
a lion fountain
a tundra fountain
a desert fountain
a jungle fountain
or some small ones

I also wanted to get some statues. I could get,

safari statue
jungle statue
tundra statue
desert statue
gilded panda statue
gorrilla statue
tiger and cubs statue
globe statue
sundial statue
polar bear statue
rhino statue.
(If I forgot one, please let me know. I have all of them but animal babies and any user download ones.)

Choose a fountain or a statue, and it will be placed in my zoo. I need both a statue and a fountain so the first person who posts a fountain, is the person that decides the fountain. Same with the statue. You can only do one. I am trying to give more people a chance.

I have been offered a job to breed elephants. If I can breed two african elephants in three months, I get to keep the baby. Here's the catch. That's it for babies, back to the story!

When The three months were over The elephants still hadn't given birth. Donna was pregnant, but no baby had come. I lookd over the contact and something caught my eye. In fine print it said, " Since the gestation time of an elephant is longer than three months, if the female elephant is pregnant before the three moths are over,  you can keep them until they give birth. I called up the owner of the elephants and told him the situation. He gave me permission to keep the elephants until they gave birth, and then he would send you the giraffe. I waited for monhs, but the baby wouldn't come. Finally, one morning there was a baby elephant in my zoo I sent the mother back to it's former owners and recevied the giraffe the next morning. I named her Lory, and the baby elephant rachel.
Lory (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/enlarged11.jpg)
Rachel (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/enlarged10.jpg)

After the elephant extravaganza ( I even got a certificate for breeding them!) I wanted to get more animals. I had lots of money in donations for rachel and all the other babies, enough to buy a pair of animals. I narrowed it down to these animals.

Liz and Brent, two ringtailed lemurs,
Sam and Florence, two flamingos,
and Max and Jean, two kangaroos.

Guess what your job is? Pick a pair of animals! They are both boy and girl pairs of the same status (low risk), so it's really a decision of which one you like better.

Ok, really sorry I didn't post yesterday, something came up. And bad news. Rachel got sick, and needed to be with her Mom. (She wouldn't eat or drink anything!) Since african elephant babies are so rare, the zoo that owns Donna is now giving us something ese in return. We are going to receive a pair of Red Pandas. We still have the certificate for breeding the elephant, so even though we don't have rachel, we are still known to have accompolished such a rare task.

A couple of the old animals died also. Shira & Mac, two black leopards, and Mary and Melissa, two scimitar horned oryx.

Liz (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/lemur.jpg) the lemur
Veronica (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/redpanda-veronica.jpg) the red panda

We had a couple babies, Suki had two baby boys (black leopard), and Sal had two baby girls (black leopard).

For the next animal, it is completely up to you! Choose an animal and I will do it.

Oh, my first time doing one of these =D

A small local zoo took on 3 adult bongos (a male and two females) without proper research. They are the largest animals the zoo has and they knew it'd be tough, but they desperately needed them to bring in more money. They were unaware of how much work they would be and the animals' health began to deteriorate. Unfortunately, due to illhealth one of the females passed away. That was the last message the zoo needed to convince themselves they were way over their head. So now, the zoo needs to find a new home for the two remaining bongos before they suffer the same fait as their female companion. Are you up to taking on this pair before it's too late?
Title: Seaside Reserve

Sure I'll take them, but just for future reference, in this particular zoo, all you need to say is a species of animal when I ask :original:

That's ok, no need to be sorry, and I forgot to say this, but welcome to ZA!

Paul and Joanne (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/Joanne.jpg) the bongos are happily living in their new home.

A nearby zoo has approached us with an offer. Since they heard about our elephant breeding sucess, they were hoping we could also breed a Very Rare animal for them, The Javan Rhinoscerous (I hope I spelled it right, I can never remember). Once we breed them, we can keep them, But there is a small price. We have to give them 100,000 dollars for these animals, which is probably underpriced seeing as there are two and they are extremely rare. Should I take the job?

Since their is no time limit on the rhinoscerous breeding thing, we are able to adopt more animals. Pick your favorite endangered or critically endangered animal in zoo tycoon (got all the exps.) and I will adopt them.

I recently heard of an oppotunity for my zoo to become even more well-known. A nearby zoo is selling a pair of Scimitar Horned Oryx one of which (the female) had an injured leg. If I heal this animal and shelter the pair Cornerstone zoo's rating will go even higher! ( Bringing me to five stars most likely as I am already at 4 1/2!)
Should I buy the animals?

By the way, since there are so many baby black leopards, I have stopped announcing their births. They breed like mad!

Could someone please change the name of this thread to Cornerstone Zoo? It would be appreciated very much.

Liz had another baby (boy)
Lia had two kids, Anthony (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/Anthony.jpg) and Nina,
Suki had two kids ( black leopard ) and I immediately gave them and their mom away. Why? you may ask? Space I will say. I have sixteen black leopards, most of them girls, meaning lots and lots of breeding. Meaning lots and lots of donations too, but their exhjibit takes up so much space. It's so big I can't even fit it all on the screen. I know they get donations, but I could fit at least two, maybe three exhibits where that one is, and it is such a chore to take care of them. Their status is low risk so I could sell them to another zoo instead of releasing them to the wild. Should I sell or release the black leopards?
P.S. Don't forget we need money.

I wanted to get more animals, so I looked at what was up for adoption. It wasn't much. The only interesting ones were big cats. I think a big cat refuge was closing down or something becuase they had tons of rare big cats. I narrowed it down to spanish lynx, snow leopards, bengal tigers, and Florida panthers. Linda had her baby (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/enlargedASAS.jpg) and since she is so darn cute I took two pictures (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/enlargeduhuh.jpg) of her.
Minnie is expecting (lion)
Liz had another baby ( Ruby (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/enlarged2-1.jpg) )

Rose (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/Rose.jpg) and Bernard were two warthogs, sick, lonely, hungry, and worst of all, trapped. When roaming thier natural home they came across a box. They wandered inside, looking around, and then it was dark, and they could not see. The had wandered into a hunters trap. Instead of killing the warthogs, he sold them alive, and he was caught. The pair was going to be sent to a reserve, but I offered to take them, and now they are living in the big mixed savahnnah exhibit at Cornerstone Zoo.

Felix and Vixen (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/Vixen.jpg) are two bengal tigers, new to the zoo. Felix is the playful type, and is always running around Vixen, begging her to play. He is often seen with his head and two front paws against the window fence, curiosly looking at the visitors. Vixen is more calm and relaxed. She spends her time roaming the exhibit and sleeping in the cave. She is also quite patient, as she doesn't seem to mind Felix constantly bugging her.

Congratulations Minnie and Mickey the lions, you had two babies, Pluto and Sally (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Cornerstone%20Zoo/Sally.jpg).

Title: Willow Park, a brand new project!
Post by: kiwah on September 17, 2006, 05:54:08 AM
Very glad to hear that Hyshqa, because you don't have to!  Please change the name of this thread to Willow Park.

My new project is Willow Park! Or, what will be Willow Park, now it is a large area of empty land they expect me to make a zoo. This would not normally seem hard, except that these are high expectations for the condition my land (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/BadLands.jpg) is in. The only animals in this area of badlands is a herd of thompsons gazzeles (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Herd.jpg) and when we were exploring yesterday we found a pair of fennec foxes stuck in a ditch (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Fennec.jpg). I sadly sat down on my couch at home and rubbed my head. What had I been thinking? How could I turn such a patch of barren wasteland into a succesful zoo?

Find out in the next chapter.......

Yes. Poor little fennec foxes.

chapter two:
I had put an ad in the paper asking for help with the zoo, so when I woke up to the phone ringing the next morning, I wasn't surprised.  When I picked up the phone some teenage girl went on a long rant about how she loved animals and she knew everything about them. I soon grew quite bored and told her that she didn't match the description and that I was sorry. I got many calls like this until after my tenth call I decided to stop picking up the phone.  It rang once more and I looked at the phone. I sighed and picked it up.  The voice sounded proffesional, and they said that they knew a lot of friends who would also be willing to help. He and his friends weren't afraid to get their hands dirty, and he sounded like he actually knew what he was talking about.  I hired him and his friends, an the next day after introductions we did some more exploring. We found a large crack in the ground (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Riverbed.jpg) first, and we decided we would have to put a fence around for the meantime. Not too far away was a dry riverbed (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Crack.jpg), and one of the thompsons gazzeles looking for water.

Who doesn't?

All the animals were put in holding exhibits after a long game of chase and tranquilize.  My current goal for the week was to fill up the crack. I ordered lots of fresh dirt and started piling it in the next day. By Saturday It was done (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/sTAFF.jpg). The staff and I had built a center for supplies (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Crackfilled.jpg)  and so on, and that took a few weeks also. It was the end of the first month and I had gotten a good amount of things done. The next month however, was spent doing one thing. I worked with the hard rocky soil all month. Finally, the land was covered with fresh dirt (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Dirt.jpg), and grass seeds were scattered.

Seraphii: With determination and a little help fromm my friends!

Beagleboy, this is not in the city. It is in the wilderness of Africa. ( SHHH I know it's a city zoo, just pretend.)

More info on those little critters you guys seem to care about so much, Fennec foxes!

We coated the bottom of their exhibit with rocky sand, and planted a joshua tree. An artificial rock formation and den are also in the exhibit.
Animal Descriptions:
Alaire (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Lila.jpg): The male of the two, his french name, "Alaire" has a latin origin and means joy and happiness.
Lila (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Alaire.jpg): The female of the two, her Hindi name, "Lila" means playfullness.

In the thompsons gazelles exhibit we made a small pool of water and added in a large stable to rest in. After counting we found there was twelve of them.
The herd (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/theherd.jpg)

Since there are so many I don't have pictures of them individualy.
Descriptions
Garvan: The english form of the Irish "Garbhan", his names means little rough one.
Antheia: Always sweet and kind, her name means flower. It is a greek myth name.
Anani: Her hebrew name means cloud.
Winnie: a name that most likely has no meaning, I just named her that for fun. Winnie is very playful and bouncy.
Foxy: Foxy is just like what it sounds. Her name means sly and clever.
These are just some of the names. More coming later.

More animal names!!!
All of these guys have african names except for Alpha, who's name is english..
Alpha: Alpha like to think of himself as the head of the herd, and he seems to make it clear that he is.
Gamyuka: Second in command, he trails Alpha around like a puppy dog.
Abubakar: Abubakar is quite a brave one. He is just like his name, which means noble.
Terrell: His name means stubborn, and he fits it perfectly.
Gwalla: Always being pushed around By Alpha and Gamyuka, He never speaks up for himself which has resulted in an injured leg. His name means coward.
Anyim: She loves to try and eat my bagel crumbs each morning, so we named her Anyim, which means sesame.
Eshe: Always calm and reserved, Eshe is the head female. Her name means life.

That is all the thompsons gazzelles.

Thanks you guys.  More updates finally!!

I am changing something, the animals I started with were imported from africa and were animals that were given to me to start out with. My zoo is in the city.
Babies!
Lila had two babies, a boy and a girl, which we named Veli and Aamina (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/AaminaandVeli.jpg).
Vila( right ): His name means brother, and he is extremely bouncy and playful. He loves to run up to the keepers and run around us and when we bend down lick our faces.
Aamina( left ): Her name means safe, and she is more calm and cool headed than her brother. Though they are from the same litter she treats him like an younger brother.

I sent in my report of the progress to my managers last week . When I got it back today it had a note that said

Dear kiwah,
I am afraid that you are not off to a very good start. You have spent much too much money this past month, and you must start spending less. I would also like you to start investing less in the animals and more in the guests. You don't have a food court or and benches or chairs. You don't even have a gift cart! The animals are being spoiled, and the guests will have nothing. You need to earn more money and spend it on guest attractions and areas! Stop worrying about the animals and start worrying about your money! The guests would rather have a zoo with a nice food court with shops and okay exhibits with okay animals that don't have to be in the perfect enviroment or be perfectly healthy, than a zoo with good exhibits and animals with no food or attractions!

From,
Mr. T.M. Bailey,
your manager.

I frowned at this. Earning money would be hard, and I knew I was struggling with money, they didn't need to tell me that. The animals were not  being spoiled at all, and I wasn't going to open the zoo any time soon. Why did I need a guest area now? Bailey hadn't even seemed to care about the animals all that much. he was caring about the guests, and only the guests. I frowned even more, and stuffed the letter in my pocket. He was completely wrong. I would do what they said, but with a twist.

What's the twist? Find out more in the next chapter!

Ok..... I'll be nice, here goes!

THE TWIST!!!
I called up my manager, and told him I would make his guest are, along with a new exhibit. When he started complaining I told him to be quiet and listen. Here is where I made the most stupid desicsion I have made in all my life. I bet him. My job, and his. I told him that I would keep the zoo open for a trial month, and would place donation boxes around. If their were more donations and nice remarks for the stores, I would quit, and he could hire someone ese to build the zoo. If there were more donations for the animals and nice remarks, He was fired. He considered for a while, and agreed. It was then that I realised what I had done. It was too late to go back though. I never went back on a deal.
So I made a Guest area (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/gadwin015.jpg).
And I made a new exhibit (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/gadwin017.jpg). ( The beavers names are Laura, Lui, Maria, and Mark. All four are very shy. )
And I opened the zoo.
And waited.

It is safe with me Mika.

Three weeks had gone by and it was not looking good. There was tons of money in the Bailey's box. There had been a mysterious looking man lately, and he came every day. All he did was sit on a bench and occasionally pull out his cell-phone. He didn't even glance at the animals. After an hour or so he would leave, and put $1,000 dollars into Bailey's box. I was suspicious of him, and decided to find out more. I was nosy. I sat on the bench next to his, with a souvenir hat and sunglasses on my head, looking at a map. When he pulled out his cell phone I listened intently. This was the conversation:

" Yeah boss, I got the money, and I won't forget to put it in."
barely audible " You get it in now Chain, or I'll tear this little guys head off."
"Yeah boss, whatever you say. Do you still want the gazzele?"
" Yes Chain. Tonight."

The phone was then closed and the conversation ended.

In other news,

I apologize everyone, for my lack of updates. I have been busy, but now I am back in action!

That night I stayed up late, and waited. I had almost fallen asleep when the man came. He had a traquilizer gun. He snuck around the exhibit, looking for one he wanted to get I assumed. He finally settled down next to the sleeping gazzele, Rose. As he was about to fire the gun when I leaped at him, and landed on his back. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and held him against a tree. Some of the gazzeles had woken up by now, and were running around the exhibit in a panic. I had called the cops earlier, and they soon came out and put the man in hand-cuffs. I threw him to the ground.
" Who are you working for?" I asked.
" No-one, honest. "
I said it again this time, yelling " Who are you working for?!?!?"
" Bailey " The man whispered.
I told the cops to get him in the car. I knew where Bailey lived, and it wasn't a very long drive from the zoo.

When we got there, two of the cops stayed in the car, one of them came with me along with Keeper Graff, and the rest split up and went searching the house. I was looking around the zoo with Graff and the cop when I heard Graff shout. We ran towards the sound of his voice and looked as he pointed to secret door in his mansion. After lots of fiddling with the lock we got it open, and stepped outside. I gaped and looked at what lay before. I could not believe

what (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Flamingoness.jpg) I (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Peafowlness.jpg) saw (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Zebraness.jpg)

We further searched the secluded courtyard and came across a secluded area.
The answer was there. Literally staring at me right in the face. Blankly.
A stuffed polar bear (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Polarbearpoorpolarbear.jpg) sat atop a pedestal in the middle of the courtyard. I looked even more around the area, and found benches, all of which made of animal hides (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Hide.jpg), with elephant tusks for the arm-rests.

We went inside and met with the other team, who reported seeing posters on the wall saying Bailey the Zebra Tamer, with pictures of bailey whipping and riding zebras.

                                  Everything went quickly after that.

Bailey was put in jail. The animals were brought to the zoo and put in temporary holding exhibits. I got a new manager, who had the same ideas as me, and whose house was animal-free (I checked), the nice cop got a job at the zoo, and the animal's exhibits were being made. Life seemed perfect.

                                                 But it wasn't

A tour of the three new exhibits.
Sire and Madame (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Flamingo.jpg) are two new resident flamingoes, rescued from Bailey's Backyard.
Four zebras, Dakota ( girl ), Marylegs ( girl ), Snickers ( boy ), and Valentine ( boy ), are literally jumping for joy in their new exhibit.
Dakota (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Dakota2.jpg). Dakota again (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Dakota1.jpg).

Connel (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Connel.jpg) and Sarah are also from Baileys backyard, and they love their new exhibit! As you walk the elevated path to their exhibit (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Peacockentrance.jpg), you can see not only the animals and the exhibit, the lovely scenerey and checkerd path also.

Thanks! He did get what he deserved.
Maria the Beaver had two baby boys, Jonathan and Timothy (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Timothy.jpg).
Lila the fennec fox had three babies, Nina, Ken, and Mimi.
Foxy the thompsons Gazelle had a baby boy named Kyle.
Another Fennec Fox has been purchased. His name is Nor
Fix: The female peacock's name is Samantha, not Sarah.

Now, back to the plot.

When I say that life wasn't perfect, I do not mean that there is a big problem, such as Bailey breaking out of jail, or my zoo closing down. The problem is the problem of an animal, a small injured female kangaroo.

I was finally on vacation, and I was taking a ride on a safari truck. I looked around and saw a group of kangaroos (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Herdofkangas.jpg). The tour continued, and we noticed that one of the kangaroos had been seperated from the group, and was being stalked by a lion (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Lion.jpg). I told the driver to stop, jumped out of the car and somehow, instead of it chasing me, I chased the llion away. I looked at the injured kangaroo, and picked it up. It was brought to the zoo the next day, and a cast was put on its leg. We named her Kaylee (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Kaylee.jpg), and got another kangaroo, which we named Richard (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Richard.jpg) ( He is a silly one! ) to keep her company. Kaylee and Richard are happily living in their new home. ( Kaylee's leg is better now, so in the picture she does not have a cast on.

In other news, The dry riverbed, which we were forced to work around, we have turned into a small lake. It was never truly a river, as it stands alone and does not feed from an actual lake, so it is now a thin, small lake.

More coming soon!

That wasn't all that fast, this is fast!

I went to an animal fair, and put four of my animals, Sarah and Thomas the thompsons gazelles, and Lui and Laura the beavers up for trade. The two pairs of animals I was interested in, were a pair of african crowned cranes ( Yes I know I caved and used a user download animal in my zoo.) and a pair of Ibex. I wasn't sure which ones to choose. I could trade the thompsons gazzeles for the ibex, and the beavers for the cranes. I could get both pairs, or just one. I couldn't decide.
You have to. If you want me to get both, just say both, if just the ibex, ( we will lose two gazelles if we make this trade, say ibex. If you want me to get the African Crowned Cranes, ( we will lose two beavers if we do this ) say african crowned crane. We have multiple beavers and Thompsons gazelles. It is up to you.

Edit: Sorry, I forgot pics.

So sorry for not updating! I will make it up to you guys!

At the latest meeting with our small group of zoos, Cornerstone Zoo, Willow Park, Future Falls, and Save the animals wildlife refuge ( The old abandoned project ), we decided to have a breeding program. I was assigned to breed two spectacled bears, Talya (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Talya.jpg) and Benjamin (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Ben.jpg). Ian (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Ian.jpg), the new baby kangaroo, is still a little baby, but he is very energetic.

I received a letter. When I saw what it said I gaped. Four Scimitar horned oryx, and four ADDAX? They were a gift to me.

The administration has realised how far you have gone with your zoo, and how well you are doing. We grant you these animals as a gift for your efforts.

I got to work on their exhibit right away, and when I received them, I named them right away.
Oryx:

A handsome tiger, Reginald (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Reginald.jpg) is the biggest show off I have ever seen. He doesn't walk, he struts.

A little before the completion of their exhibit ( before we added the ice and fake snow ) we let the two new penguins explore their exhibit. Here is Keith (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Keith.jpg) drinking water, and here is Haley (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Hasley.jpg).

Double Ep here.

@ Zaman: Here they are.
Gylfie (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Gylfie.jpg) is a bright young secretary bird who knows all the tricks in the book.
Soren (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Soren.jpg), the Male, is very brave, and is not shy at all in front of guests.

More animals! I bought two black rhinos, Skyler (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Skyler.jpg) and Coraline (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Willow%20Park/Coraline.jpg), and now they are happily enjoying their new home. The two rhinos had ben previously abused, like Kolorian ( some of you may know who this is. )

If you do not, go to page 7 of this thread and you can read about her.

Anyway.
Beleive it or not, there is only one exhibit left, and I am letting you choose it. Whoever is quick enough and requests first will be the person that chooses. Be fast!

And off topic but! I have at least 500 posts! I am finally a senior zookeeper! Yay!

Aha! Reminds me of Cornerstone zoo, when the last request was African elephants.

Ok, bad news, there is no room for elephants. Try and pick an animal that requires little space. Sagey, if you want, since the Elephants didn't work but you were still first, you can choose another animal. I think it would be best if we gave someone else a turn though as you have already requested.

One animal requests is available, but keep in mind it might not be chosen in the end if Sagey chooses another. In other words, it will be back-up.

Well first I have to get MM2, which will probably be around thursday, as with AA it took three or four days to actually get out in stores. I can't wait though, I got the demo and shows are so much fun!

@ nique: thanks alot! that is a nice pic isn't it?

Thanks, but I don't think I can. You see, For some reason, RND cannot view the text on the document which contains the downloads list, and after many tries it does still not work. I have been told that I will no longer be able to submit it, because I have tried many times. I am so sorry to everyone who helped with this, and it makes me very unhappy that I cannot submit this zoo, as I was very proud of it. I will see what I can do, but right now it seems like one in a million that it will ever be up for download. I am so sorry everyone.

My other option is to change the zoo and get rid of the downloaded animals, and replace them with others. That will be my last resort. It seems like m best chance though, so I might have to give it a shot.

Title: Seaside Reserve, a Brand New Project!
Post by: kiwah on October 20, 2006, 06:30:31 PM
Thanks you two.
( RPT, Your Basset is the cutest thing! )

Let us begin.

When I walked into my first zoo, I knew, with just one look, it was all I would ever want. I was three at the time.

Ever since then animals had fascinated me, so it is no surprise that I am standing here now, at the entrance of my very own zoo (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/EntaranceEntranced.jpg). It has barely anything in it, but I don't really care, and I make a vow, right then and there, that no matter what happens, I will not give up on this zoo. Ever.

As I explore the zoo, I first walk forward, and see a looming tank in front of me. I climb  up the ladder, and without hesitation, dive right in. I am met face to face with my favorite animal. The dolphin. Here they are (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Dolphinsswimming.jpg), two of them, swimming side by side, with almost a magical feeling about them. Later on I see one of them being trained by friend and co-worker, Jeff Wyles (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Dolphintricks.jpg).

I continue to walk around my zoo. I smile as I walk under the beautiful arch (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Arch.jpg), and see before me..... a, pond? I look closer, and see a tiny object (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Whatsthat.jpg) come out of the water, but it goes so fast that I can't see what it is.

Lets get a closer look.......

To be continued! Whoever can guess what the object is gets candy!

Stranded!

Two Pilot Whales (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/stuck.jpg) were found lying on a beach, far from their home. They (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Stranded.jpg) were crated (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Crates.jpg), and brought to a holding tank. If there is any chance of them surviving, it is in captivity, as one of them, the male, has a severe wound, and will have to be nursed back to health. The two seem very attached and it would be unfair to seperate them. These two animals are up for adoption.

Well? Should we get them?

Could a mod please change the thread name to be Seaside Reserve?

Thanks Sk8er! As for making good things? I try and make the layout symmetrical, I don't focus on guest areas too much, and I just make the exhibits. Taking pictures of marine animals is so hard though!

Josephine (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Joesephine.jpg) and Glassef ( dolphins ) had a baby boy named Soren.

Aww (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/SorenandGlassef.jpg), Father Son moment.

Thanks Sagey, Cause I already made their tank!

I named them Tessa, and Shadow.
When They were said to be close, they really were, because Tessa (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Tessai.jpg) was expecting a baby when she was found! Shadow is being trained by Jeff to do tricks, and they have already bonded. Tessa and Shadow (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Shadow.jpg) have really found a home at the zoo.

Ever had a dream, where you are swimming, and it is a beautiful day, but all of a sudden you are dragged under, and there is a pain in your leg. You are then met face-to-face with a shark (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/OHNOS.jpg)?

Unfortunately, for these townspeople, it is not a dream, and it has happened to six people. Two Sharks have been haunting this villages waters, and has taken six people. They are a menace. They are begging someone to come and rid them of the horibble beasts (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/BADSHARKIE.jpg), but everyone is too scared. Should I take the challenge and get two sharks?

Oil Spill! (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/SWIMFORYOURLIVES.jpg)

There was an oil spill the other day, and many of the nearby sea otters (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/AHHH.jpg), sadly, did not survive (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/OHNO.jpg). Four managed to drag themselves ashore, where they gasped for air. They have been washed, and are now being taken care of at a holding exhibit. We have been offered these creatures. Should we take them?

I was recently offered a pair of california sea lions, in exchange for $6000 ( this is what they are worth, and it is priced fairly ). I was given the opportunity to visit with them for a bit, and I fell in love. In order to get the money for the sea lions, I will have to open the zoo, which I was planning to do soon anyway. Should I get these two?

@ Bep ( if I can call you that ) we all have our lack of creativity moments, and happy 200th post!
@Sagey Thanks *blush* I made the avatar but I wasn't sure whether to use it or not. And yes, there are many new animals to play with at the reserve!

Cameron and Chase are no longer living with the otters, because I caught Chase stalking and scaring Monterey and the babies.
Oh yeah, babies!
Josephine had another baby. We named her Aleena
Penelope (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Otterbabypen.jpg) ( girl ) and Nim (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/OtterbabyNim.jpg) ( boy ) are the two baby otters.

More animals need saving! Two narwhals being kept in a small tank at a nearby zoo are not getting the love or attention they need. They are becoming sick, and need a real home. Should we take them?
Here a Narwhal (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Narwhalgirlbad.jpg)

They are very shy, so even though they have a short tank wall, I gave them a deep tank, so they have lots of privacy. The two Narwhals are still a little scared of people, but Sailor has started to warm up to us a bit. We are patient with them though, because we know it will take time.

The manatee was rescued from the shores of Florida, and now Hugo (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Hugo.jpg) is living in his own tank at the corner of the zoo. Hugo is an older manatee, who is very slowly but surely getting less shy. He doesn't seem to mind the keepers coming in to visit him, as he is still a little sick, and needs frequent check-ups, but he seems to try and avoid making a big scene and likes to hide in the kelp bed a lot.

Hugo is so cute! That is all for tonight!

Crookshankz, if you mean in the turtle pic, that is the bottom of the fence, as my turtles live in an exhibit, not a tank. If you mean the shark pic, I have no idea, there are just dots on the tank walls. Thanks you guys! Lets see, I will open for ONE request, and only one. It may not have pictures and things until later, as I have to leave soon, but if you are quick, I might be able to do it now.

I do like the shark pic actually. I wasn't expecting many compliments since it was just a very quick picture that happened to come out well.

I think it has been over two hours..... anyway, I was just posting to say that I am still waiting for a request. The only requirement is it has to be an MM animal.

Ok, here we go. June (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/June.jpg), a female Manatee that had washed up on shore, is now living with Hugo in their now even bigger tank, and the two have already bonded immensely.

Also, I just got a call about some goblin sharks trapped in a fishing net. there were only two of them, but when they got free, they were tangled in nets. They could no longer swim, and were found wriggling on a beach, sick and injured. Should we take these two in?

A collector of rare animals has been found by the ASPCA living just outside of NYC.  Within his large yard, hundreds of animals both exotic and native were discovered.  Unfortunatly they had all been imprinted by humans and couldn't return to the wild.  After hearing of the recent success of your park we have decided you are a leading candidate to take in some of his marine life.  Three rockhopper penguins (2 females, one male) and young hammerhead shark (male)  are being offered to you.  You can except both, one or the other, or neither.  Hopefully, someone will be able to foster these poor neglected sea animals.  So, are you willing to help?

( <--Yes, nightmare reference, Jack the pumkin king and Sally the patchwork girl! ) Maybe we shouldn't let little kids go near this tank....

Pam (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Pam.jpg) and Flippy (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Flippy.jpg), two rockhopper penguins saved from a backyard. Thanks Ironchef!

News!
Jen the leatherback sea turtle laid two eggs the other day. For succeeding in breeding two leatherback sea turles, I received four, yes four, manta rays. Les, Ray (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/gadwin020.jpg), Jim, and Martha.

Am I the only one that sees the fish shape in this coral (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/gadwin021.jpg)?

Dear Seaside Reserve,

Recently, a large shark species was spotted attacking surfers off the coast of California. Studies show it to be a large male White Shark. He has already attacked four people, and severely injured one. He is getting to be a handfull, and local authorities are going to kill him if he stays. Will you save this denizen of the deep?

Recently, a small group of whalers were aressted, and were found to have killed 3 Beluga whales and 1 Narwhal in the Arctic circle.
The remaining family of the cetaceans were found, and it has been decided they should live out the rest of there lives in captivity, free from any other potential whalers.
The problem is noneone has been able to find an aquarium where the 1 Narwhal and 2 Belugas could go.
Could you help out?

And I love the sharks!

Okay, Here we go.

I finally got the comp. to work, but this will still be a slow month. I am writing a 30,000 word novel this month ( wish me luck!) so I will be very busy. I will make up for it in december though. For now, here are some of the new members of the zoo.

Terri (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Terri.jpg) used to be another zoo's mascot, and before that, lived a very tough life. She is sort of beat up, and definetely more threatening looking than Steve (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Whatisthis.jpg), our other white shark.

A nice picture of Les (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Manta.jpg) breaching.
Just me being bored and taking a pic of the pretty sky (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/jenpenpenny/Zoo%20Tycoon%202/Marine%20Zoo/Okayyy.jpg)... ::P:

No requests.
