Title: Tropic Island Zoo
Post by: limpan on December 02, 2006, 11:41:19 AM
Here we are, on one of the seven islands. The differens between this island and the other six is that here we are going to build a zoo.

We have just get on the island (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2612030220098499509NiYSSm) and it looks good.

The Island even have a shore (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2079347080098499509pWeBzw), can we use that to something?

We went up on a cliff and look down in the water (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2153883520098499509kJElCI), wow.

Wait! Whats was that? A shark (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2283873990098499509FvBkTl). There are sharks in the water around the island, this can be the head attraction.

Well, this (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2966848780098499509nUZmrP) is going to be a zoo. Lets get started!

The zoo is open and many people have come to the consecration (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2682231330098499509CwFqNq).

This is the entrence (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2812183870098499509MKQBNU) so far.

On the cliff to the left we have build the view (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2130898440098499509kgbEmB) to the sharks.

This is how it looks when we came up on the cliff (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2243114690098499509DkmHQt).

There are benches (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2376824240098499509HQZNBo) so the visitors can rest after the uphill path.

We look out over the fence and see the two sharks (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2782201170098499509PjGqAJ).

The sharks where here when we came, so they don´t have any names. Any suggestions? There are one male and one female.

I am gonna try to take some underwater pictures on them, but i have to be careful, they are wild sharks.

Looks great limpan. For shark names how about Reef (female) and Typhoon (male).

Post by: limpan on December 03, 2006, 03:57:01 AM
After we had feed the sharks, i was going down to take some pictures. Here is Reef (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2624206400098499509VYNMQr) and Typhoon (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2687564360098499509zainPt).

We have also get two new exhibits finished, the zoo now have two orangutangs and two gemsbocks. Do somebody have any names for them?

We start walking up the hill (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2623141650098499509QDVGJf) and forward to the orangutang exhibit (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2517857700098499509rbUeOi). They have a toy (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2133379760098499509KRXoNW) to climb in and a tree (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2173264030098499509pgLjLd) to sleep in. Here are the female (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2404641310098499509zPHGJT) when she eat and both of them (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2654232170098499509jhVFQM) when they clean eachother.

Lets go (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2339256960098499509ZEyLdY) and see how the gemsbocks are doing. They seems to like the tropic biomi (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2626479160098499509ubvqXW). Here are the male (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2322762870098499509QDnjPv) and the female (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2879680890098499509KusKpX) in action.

I got an idea what to do with the shore (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2522493690098499509iZLQlK), lets see if you like it. The tables (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2529216020098499509PbQycb) are made of the trees on the island. And the visitors can buy something (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2153372010098499509NRdOZj) to eat and drink.

The zoo need more animals and names, do you have any idea?

Now the zoo have got two new animals, lets go and look at the thomson gazelles (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2002824580098499509xVLUOu). This is the exhibit (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2276155970098499509knMJPv) and they seem to like it. Here are the female (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2183283400098499509pehUli) drinking water and the male (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2201973220098499509XrfFaG) resting.

Now, lets go (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2335351730098499509wdzXyd) and take a look at the new predator. Here are the exhibit (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2667108170098499509vTuyVY) for the florida panters. The male (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2672726960098499509nSuTTU) resting and the female (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2551654670098499509lDYsek) is cleaning her self. They love to rest in there cave (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2434861800098499509pMpgSr) and swim, so we have put a iron net (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2840404190098499509CwgfDo) to keep the sharks away.

The zoo need names on the animals, and i think i can put in two, maybe three animals more.

Aww. This is so beautiful! I can NEVER work with a natural biome. I always go to a city zoo. They just bother me too much. :pinch:  Anybody who can make a decent (or in your case, fabulous) zoo with a tropical biome is on my list :zorro:  ....
...
:party5:
I love what you did with the shore. It looks so pretty and cool. Could you maybe add some gray wolves?  Hmmm. male: Lucky (how original)  female:  Sasha Kiowa

Good luck on ur zoo expasion!
Can't wait to see more! :bounce:

The zoo have recived a donation from the city so they need some animals to start up the zoo. Do you know any animal somewhere that need a new home, or a zoo that not have any room, please post and the St. Park Zoo is ready to help.

Reports have seen two wolverines get into a city in Alaska. They have put the male wolverine, named Tommy, and the female, named Nami, into crates for the time being, they need good homes as quick as possible. They are in excellent condition, and are actually quite tame. (They went into the city and came right up to people.)

Will you take these guys in?

A trio of orca were found to be abused at a marine park in a foreign country. They are underfed, and are quite untame do to being so mistreaten. There are two females and one male. The male's name is Patchy and the females have no name and you are free to name them as you wish.

Will you please rescue these abused orcas and take the challenge of their aggresive behavior?

A group of five short finned pilot whales are stranded on a beach of California. Please consider taking them into your zoo. The lead male is injured with a bite mark from a orca on it's tail. When we try to send the rest of the group out, they come right back. Please help us. Can you take them?

Sorry for no updates, my computer crashed and all my saved games was deleted. But I reinstall it and decided to do a new zoo. You have to do the best out of the situation!

Finally we are here, in the middle of the tropic rainforest (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2250731350098499509lsYogd). We walk in the forest until we came to a stream and located two hippos (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2984731100098499509NwrBHI). We did not spill any time, we put up the trap (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2761312370098499509lDNEmH) and put some food in it. We use this kind of trap becuse we don´t want to hurt any of the animals. After three hours one of the hippos (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2295742250098499509XqwZfC) came forward to the trap. I think it was the female, and the male (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2841712150098499509FELZnZ) came just minutes later.

When we came back to Arboga the exhibit (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2227626660098499509hEZuZO) was finnished. Next day we opend the zoo (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2839977570098499509cRUWQN) for the first time, here is the hippo exhibit (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2925483590098499509ZDMqyz). And another view (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2237866470098499509UEiFQv), from the side. Now lets introduce the two pygmy hippos. Here is the male, Henry (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2655529660098499509IOuCLQ), and the female, Emelie (http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2581436080098499509TNiUGe).

The next animal for the zoo is gonna be a group of meerkats.
