I hope this hasn't been invented before, but I always find it interesting to read member's sigs. What makes you put whatever's in your sig, in your signature?!?

When you are planning on making any changes or additions to your signature lines, please be sure to read the pinned topic "Signatures" by Yellowrose. This outlines the rules of what is acceptable and what isn't. The staff truly appreciates your enthusiasm and participation-and your creativity-with your signatures!

Attention All Members
Please remember that ZA does not allow Signature Pics for members.
The few Signature Pics you do see are applied by the Admins to show Special Recognition for Contest Winners and Member fo the Month Only.
Any other member found to be displaying a signature pic will have it removed and their warning level raised.
If you wish to have the privledge of displayiong a signature pic you will have to enter the monthly Site Contests and win it, or be voted Member of the Month.

how do you make them those colors

To change the color, higlight the word/letter you want, then select the color you want from the little drop down thing at the top. If you wanted something to be red, it should look like: (without the *)
[*COLOR=red]your text here[/COLOR]
There are also "hidden" colors, and if you type in the one you want where it says red, it will change to that color:
[*COLOR=turquoise]turquoise[/COLOR]

Also Signature Pics are not permitted unless applied and approved by and Administrator.

I don't want you all to feel sorrow for me right now. My signiture discusses my ex-boyfriend, and best friend Mitchell. He was always happy, and I never saw him mad. He always made everyone laugh and had many friends. He also had talent on the football field and at track meets. Everyday we would eat lunch together and have a good time. Last night something happened to him to take this all away, and he (Im sorry if this goes against the board rules. I just needed to share this with someone) commited suicide. Today the whole school wept for him and everyone was hoping it would all be a joke and he would walk through the door,but he didn't. Im sorry it had to end that way.
Thats what my sig is about. My best friend Mitchell.

Wolfclan, I'm sorry if you don't want us to feel sorrow, but I know many of us do. I'm greatly sorry, and all I can say is to remember the great person he was, and what he will always be, whether on this earth or not.
I have also finally changed my sig from new years colours to the normal ones.

Wolfclan, we are a family here, and we DO feel sorrow for you. I hope you have someone to talk to about this tragedy that happened. Suicide, people don't realize, doesn't affect the person - it affects those left behind. I, too, had a friend (many years ago) who took his life, so I can remember what I felt. Try not to feel guilt about it, and DO try and talk to whomever you trust. It really will do you good.
We are all in sorrow with you and have sympathy for you. :( :sad

Thank you everyone. There were many people to talk to today. No one even went to the classes, they just stood in the halls or gym. I think I will feel better after the funeral Thursday. I don't think it has really sunk in yet. But anyways lets not flood the board with posts about him. I don't want to get you all in trouble. Thanks again.

Updated the snot quote to another modivational/life lesson line my dad has pounded into our teams' heads. I've got alot, so I'll change them every once in a while. :happy

first off, my deepest sympathies to u wolfclan i once had afriend who lost another friend due to suicide who killed himself on valentines day and can not go to school on that day anymore and i have seen so many people affected. Rememeber we are all here for u.
Now to my sig., its a quote from a song by Imogen Heap. She is one of my favorite artist and its one of the best songs. At the time i really listened to it, i was getting a crush on a close friend and i really didn't want to have feelings from that friend. SO the song just hit me and stuck ever since. It seems like a good song becomes a unforgettable song when u have a memory behind it

Well, I have recently changed mine (didn't know I was getting another sig pic! :lol )So, it's not kind of long. But it's quotes from two of my favorite books and really reflects my feelings. I shall change it occasionaly, since I read a lot.

My signature also has an animal of the month. It has my favorite word in there, hippopotomonstrosesquipedeliaphobia, which is the fear of long words, and it also has my favorite movie quote on there, from Rat Race, the greatest movie on earth!

My first quote is from Dr Who, the last of the series to feature Sylvester Mccoy (well, not including the movie and I think he was in a comic relief one too)
My last quote is from a war poem, and translates roughly as "It is fitting and proper to die for one's country".
EDIT - I've changed mine again now, will probably alter the quote from Dr Who every month or so

Mine has a quote for a BBC documatry/drama called space oddessy voyge to the planets. Then there is a link to a hitchikers guide to the galexy song. (You should viset it is funny) The there is a quote from Dr who (Best tv show ever) And finaly a quote from the sipsons.

My signature keeps on getting deleted. It says to read the forum rules. I have read these and I know that signatures can be no longer than 6 lines of normal text. None of my signatures have been longer than 6 lines. One was six and another was five. What's happening here?

I've just changed a line of my sig. Previously I had a (I think, anyway) great film quote - 'Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so'. Hmm, think I might put that in the guess the movie thread....

I love my signature because I am a philosophy major and it seems to be the case that philosophers really do say very ridiculous things. Like Hegel, when he used an example of "the night when all cows are black" to demonstrate some sense of the Absolute. It makes no sense, right? Well it does to the philosophers!!

My latest one contains three different elements. One is the tagline from Heroes - one of if not THE best show on television. The second is a link to the rules as well as a reference to one of my favorite blogs. And the third contains a link to a funny video made by our very own Nique! Thanks Nique! :D

"Kiritsu wo yomimashiyou" literally means "Let's read the rules" in Japanese.

a signature pic is a picture that is placed in you signature.

I added a line to let everyone know it is totally cool to call me Mika (prefer it, actually) and also a pronunciation guide to how to say it correctly. It's "Me-ka" not "My-ca" or "Mih-ca". "My-ca" makes me sound like a very thin see through rock! :rofl2:
The reason it is pronounced differently is because its Japanese of course! :happy:
