Please remember that the downloads are not up and running yet. Please trust us that we will let you know the moment that they are ready. We have to upload over 3000 files with their information and screenshots and even with everyone working as fast as they can it is a rough process. We thank you for your patience.

we have started to upload the files and have some available. I have enabled them so you have access to the files as we make them available.
Please be advised the uploading is an ongoing task at this time and the files will be available aftert they are uploaded an not before.
Please do not ask or pester the staff with questions
"When is this going to be aqvailable"
The files will be made available when they are uploaded. With so many files to get done it is going to take time. We will work as fast as we can.
We have experienced server problems in the past and will be taking breaks during the uploading to avoid server issues while getting the files back.
Any problems and I will just diable the downloads until they are all uploaded.

Also, please do not upload any files until all of the old ones have been uploaded. Any files found to be uploaded before the go ahead is given will simply be deleted. This is so we know we have all of the old one up before we have to start worrying about testing new ones. Thank you for understanding.

Uploading by members is not yet available and won't be enabled until all the files are finished and double checked.

So, I've read all the posts in this thread a few times today, but am still confused by the last two. Does this mean: 1. You still don't want us to download anything until everything is back up, or 2. Noboy is allowed to put new downloads up untill all the old ones have been checked over for problems and are back up?

Ktesch, to clarify: it is fine for you to download any of the items you find available. What we are asking is that designers not submit any new items until we have all of the older ones up and working first.

Yellowrose must have been on tonight and seen my post because there is now a topic clarifying this on the front page. It probably would've been put there anyways if I hadn't asked, but since there was a topic on it already, and the last two posts hadn't made sense to me, I posted.

Hi there,
Great news that the downloads are starting to become available!! Good work! I did see the message on the forum home page that says;
"Site Update - March 27, 2007
We have begun to install the downloads and what has been done is now available to registered members. Not all files are available but we are still installing and as they are installed they will become available. We thank you for your patience and understanding while this task is being completed."
My questions might be dumb ones but here they are;
1. Where on the site are the downloads that are now available? (Is there a separate tab to click on to go to downloads, or a list of available downloads to select from?)
2. To find the downloads that are available now do we have to go through the list of forum entries under the ZT2 New Downloads thread and see what works and what doesn't?
2. How do we know which downloads are available now and which ones aren't yet?
I'm not trying to be a pain, and I certainly appreciate all the hard work going into getting them back on line, just curious as to how we find the ones that are now on line as I'm keen to get my hands on them!

To the right, there is a "Downloads" Link, under all of the affiliates info and stuff. Whatever is there is avaiable to download. The ones unavailable are the ones that havent been uploaded uet and thus have no entry for you to see.

Thanks Mika but on the right side of the screen all I see is 6 boxes;
Calendar, then
User, then
About You, then
Affiliates, then
Search, then
Gallery (which is Red).
I don't seem to have a "Downloads" Link on the right of the screen at all? Am I doing something wrong?

I clicked on the ZTCDD link in the Affiliates section, but all I got was a 404 file not found error page with a blue croc eating the letters.

Kim, You're absolutely correct, the ZTCDD affiliate link still points to the old site - in the meantime, you can access the new site here: http://www.zooadmin.org/DD/index.php

When I go to that site and try to log in it doesn't recognize my account info. Do I have to register for that site as well?

Zoo Titan, the ZTCDD is a separate site and you need to make a separate account to login there.
However, OUR ZA downloads are not hosted there, Nique just gave out the link because ktesch pointed out the old one doesn't work. The link going to the downloads that are right here at ZA is UNDER the red Gallery link. It just says "Downloads" with a little red plus to the left of the name.

Yes, you do Zoo Titan. It's a seperate site though 'part of our family.' lol
Also, please keep in mind that at ZTCDD there are listings of downloads from many different Zoo Tycoon sites, but any that you see linked to Zoo Admin will not work yet, since we are obviously moving them all here. We will be updating the ZTCDD with the new links, but not until we have them all uploaded here first.
EDIT: I see someone beat me here! :whistling:

My page also doesn't have anything under the Gallery section either. That's the last thing shown on the right in the list.

Not sure why it wasn't or isn't showing for some of you so I checked the settings and double checked with my daughter's account and I can see the downloads link button located just under the Gallery link button.
Would some of you who have posted here please check to be sure you can also see the downloads link button.

A couple of us, one of them me, couldn't earlier today, but I just finished downloading some stuff I wanted using the link and it worked. I'm sorry, I forget who the other member is and I've not seen anyone else with that problem, not sure how it only affected two of us. I'm glad it's now up and look forward to downloading some more ZT 1 items. Thank you.

I just tried to download the Rainforest Shelter under Shelters from a site called ZT for U and when I clicked on the link, it said it couldn't find the page. I was just wondering if ZA was going to change the link to their site or not? Thank you.

If these links are in the fansite ads it is up to the site admins to update these things. If these links are elsewhere where a ZA staff member has posted them this will be done in time as we are at the moment concentrating on downloads as well as other forum duties and real life commitments.

I am trying to download animals for Zoo Tycoon 1. In the past there were a lot of animals. I cannot find them anymore (only 48 files in one section). Where is the download section for Zoo Tycoon 1??? Please help!

Could someone please tell me a little bit more about the ZA Administration Building? I don't know from the description exactly what it does or is supposed to do/be. It said something about a challenge from ZKL.

Hi Kim.
The challenge part was this. Someone posted at ZKL asking for buildings to be made that could be used in the game to represent the different fansites. With ZKL being a very long time affiliate of Zoo Admin I designed 2 buildings one for ZKL and one for ZA.
The Zookeeper's Lounge is a restaurant type building where guests can rest and buy drinks
The ZA administration building is kind of like an administration building in a real zoo where you would go to gain information about the zoo itself, apply for employment etc.
Guests can recieve If I remember right 2 different items from the building, a feather pen or a certificate of donation.
Both buildings I believe also take care of some of the guest needs as far as bathroom fun etc.

hm.. I really want to download the ZT2 Wetlands Terrain Hack, There are 2 of them :eggcrazy en both are wrong, if i download the 2nd i get a Jungle zoo... and the first (i cant remember, but it was not the terrain hack) can you guys please fix it? :eggangel
