Daddyman: Go to Profile at the top of the page, and then on the lefthand side, you will see "Look and Layout Preferences". In there should be a list of check-boxes, and next to one of these it should say "Show most recent posts at the top." To have the oldest messages at the top, UNcheck this box. To make the Newest messages at the top, make sure it has a check in it.

I understand your wish to have this; I myself can't stand seeing the newest reply first either

Let me know if this fixes the problem!

Daddyman, I think that this forum as default jumps to the last/newest post on any topic marked "new", but the first page of the topic on any others. Does this help at all?

Yah I figured it out right after I made my post so I edited it and removed the question. I should have tried that but I honest thought it meant or did something different.

I agree this does make the site look very new and nice. I do have one question; on the old forum the topics that had new posts would light up, but in this one I noticed that the only way to tell was to see if the thread had the word "today". Is there any other way to tell and is there a way to tell if you have looked at the topic yet, because in the old forum you could tell? I hope you could understand my question.

The topics that have "New Posts" have a little white box next to them that say "New" (inbetwwen page numbers and after the thread title"

Up by your avatar, you can also go to "Show unread posts since last visit" And it will tell you everything that has been updated since you were here last.

The signature codes were broken in the transfer. The staff will have to replace your sig.

Hi Firehawke, hope you don't mind that I merged your topics. We've just been getting a lot of questions in this thread anyways, so figured I'd make it easier on us staff members to put them all in the same place

As to your question, it sounds like the permissions haven't been set correctly yet for members to do that yet. Thanks for pointing this out to us, and hopefully we can get that fixed for you as soon as possible!

Oops I knew I forgot to mention something..

The gallery is temporarily unavaiable due to recent server problems. Once we know everthing is stable and will remain so the gallery will again be made available for everyone.

Sorry but I've had a lot to adjust and overlooked the posting about gallery when I reset it to unavailable.

Please be patient: We are working very hard to get the downloads up, but there are some server problems and thousands of downloads to transfer. I assure you once they are here you will know. Thanks!

We all want the downloads to be up and running as soon as we can, and we are working hard to get 3000 downloads all back uploaded to the site. Please be patient and be rest assured that when they are all back up and running, you will for sure know about it.

It's alright. I kinda miss the New Posts option. The thing that would show you all of the topics with new posts. That's mostly how I got around. And you can't search topics anymore.

But the style is pretty cool. Is it going to stay marine themed or will it ever switch to something else? Like how the old site had the elephant, giraffe, gorilla, and crocodile.

You can use the Show unread posts since last visit thing at the top by your name and it works pretty much the same way. I continually click it and it gives me whatever threads I haven't seen the latest post in yet.

The old site went through changes throughout its life, and I don't see why now that we are moved it would stay the same forever!
