Ape Editor

I just downloaded ape editor and I was just wondering what programs I need to beable to do everything possible. Also was wondering how you change colors and other things on the animals, and how do I get other animals because I'm only able to use the ones in the game. Also I would like to know how to make buildings. basically I want to know how to completely work the ape editor.

Can you say.... tutorials -_O? otherwise, you don't need any specific programs besides Ape to run Ape. And most paint programs can handle the recolor thing with ease. you may have to edit the shadows manually, though.
