When you click on an animal in the adoption panel.....
how do you change: Habbitat, location, and prefered foliage....
I'm pretty sure you have to change the coding. But how?????

When you unzip the ztd file for the animal you want to change, there is a file called (8 letters/numbers).uca that match the name of the folder inside the folder named "animals".

You open this file with for example notepad. Then it's time to change the code.

I think this tutorial is great for uca-editing.

In notepad you can search for first: cHabitat

This has to be equal to the ID-number for the habitat you want, so just change it to one of these:

9400 (Savannah)
9401 (Grassland)
9402 (Deciduous Forest)
9403 (Coniferous Forest)
9404 (Boreal Forest)
9405 (Tropical Rainforest)
9406 (Scrub)
9407 (Highlands)
9408 (Tundra)
9409 (Desert)
9410 (Non-habitat)
9411 (Many)
9412 (Null Habitat)
9413 (Aquatic)
9414 (Bad-habitat)

And then save and zip the file again.

It is the same with the prefered foliage and location.

For the prefered foliage, search for "cPrefIcon" - it says something like cPrefIcon = objects/mangrove/SE/SE change it to want you want, here is a list of the choises for prefered foliage

For the location, search for "cLocation" and change the 4 numbers that it equals to one of the following:

9600 (Africa)
9601 (India)
9602 (Siberia)
9603 (Southeast Asia)
9604 (Himalayas)
9605 (China)
9606 (South America)
9607 (North America)
9608 (Arctic)
9609 (Antarctica)
9610 (Eurasia)

Well you don't have to remember all those numbers, just choise one, and believe me with some practice, you'll soon get the hang of it.

What exactly did you change? And try to do one thing at a time and then test, then you know want was wrong, and always keep a cpoy from before you changed it.

Oh, man! I deleted the copy by mistake! I mean for good. :>< I changed the prefered foliage and habitat....it was easy....
EDIT: I think I see what I did wrong. Hold on I'll try and fix it.....

So you didn't change anything else? And you changed it correctly? Ok hard to say what the problem is, when you don't have the file
Try to use the uca checker that you could download, it may help a bit, and here is some help on how to use it.
