Cabana Club ZT2 Quilt

Those of us who belong to The Cabana Club decided to make a quilt zoo. Actually, zoohio's actual words were, "To show them how it's done." .

We've used a Large Grassland map, divided into sections with hedge fencing. As we each finish our section, we'll erase the hedges (the stitching), so the zoo will be one solid piece, exactly like a quilt is actually done. The initial map was made as flat as possible, so that each quilter can add their own features to their section. There are only 8 of us in the ZT2 part (ZT1 is another topic), so the extra section became the food court.

The first picture is the overview of the map, with the initials of who is doing the section (we'll update each time).

First is the Zoo entrance walkway:

Our first animals are the meerkats and gerunks.

The meerkats spend a lot of time listening

And, despite having a mid-morning snack

the meerkats have a nice buggy lunch.

And one of the female gerunks is already pregnant!

Great photos there! Looks great.

I love when they gerenuk dance on their back legs. They are really adorable.
