Orca Show And Exhibit

Hi there, just started playing and am really confused.  I made an orca show, with 'show' fence, and then i made a orca exhibit.  In order for my orcas to feed and be looked after do i constantly have to pick them up and put them in the exhibit, then pick them up and put them in the show.  I tried joining the two fences but it won't let me.  I am at a loss, can someone help.. many thanks,

Build an Orca exhibit, then a show tank. Both tanks should be on the same level. If they are an underwater gate will connect the tanks. To find out how play the tut on building marine exhibits.

thanks for your reply i will try that... the tutorial and everything i am doing seems a lot like trail and error.  I read the entire help section and couldn't find it .. i will try to run the tutorial again... thanks for your help again
