Food Places -- How Many?

How many food courts should I have in a freeform zoo, total? I use the basic grass map (large) one. It seems after I get about 10 Exhibits, I can't keep the guests from being hungry... no matter how many food courts I have. I still will have 100 + hungry guests. And if I DO manage to get rid of the hunger, there is still thirst, which I have NEVER gottten below 100 guests with zoos of more than 12 exhibits!  :crazy  What do I do??   :(

Do you have lots of Desert Carts?

Restraunts? they're larger, but probably hold lots of people and feed them and quench thirst :D
good luck!

Use restaurants ONLY - they satisfy all guest needs and don't generate trash.  Don't put in too many restaurants, however, because your guests get grumpy if they see a lot of places to eat - they're rather be starving and tired with a bladder ready to burst than to not see animals everywhere they look.

If you have that many guests complaining about being hungry, etc, they could be "trapped" somewhere in your zoo.  Try clicking on your hungry/angry guests and see if they are all milling about in the same place.  I once had about 200 guests trapped by a bench, and as soon as I removed the bench, they all made a beeline for the exit. :lol It was SO funny :P

dessert carts are those carts which sell ice-cream, cheesecake and fruit cups. I think popcorn and candy floss may be dessert carts as well, but whenever I use them instead I still get the guests complaining they want more dessert carts!

For food courts I generally try to keep them evenly spaced (every 2 exhibits or so), it depends how big your exhibits are really. Restaurants are more cost-effective anyway, I find they always make a profit

That's ZT2 - for ZT1 I always used restaraunts, but if I did make a food court, than I think that the mammoth ice cream stand is very useful !

Yes Restaurants is definatly the way to keep your guests from being hungry, tired, bathroom needed and all that stuff. It generates energy, happiness.....and best of all it doesn't create garbage, so no need for those ugly trashcans.

All in all I never use burgerstand and bathrooms only restaurants, Genki  :wtg  is absolutly right on the mark

Oops  :blush my bad, didn't look at the thread properly

I agree with most people here for ZT1 - restaurants all the way! If I do use a food court I prefer the sub sandwich stall myself

I put one retaurant right next to my Orca show....it made $3000 in PROFIT in the first 3 months.  The only building that did better was the compost heap I had.

Thanks. Restaunts worked. Amazing. I had 1000 guests. Only 19 were hungry, and 29 were thirsty. Thank you so much!

Great!  Gotta love restaurants! :wtg  I detest trying to deal with the trash generated from the food stands, anyway :P

i try to avoid using the food stands as they produce too much rubbish-ive downloaded a fair few resturants now and i try to have at least one resturant to every 3 exhibits and always put one by the entrance-its strange how the hungry guests are always at the exhibit next to the resturant

Once I had a zoo with about 200 angry guests, and I couldn't see what was keeping them from leaving the zoo. I find that if you put four picnic tables in a square shape lots of guests get trapped inside.

In small zoos, I try to have at least 3 eating areas (including restaurants), sometimes I try to fit them into tight places around the exhibits.  Just place them wherever them seem right!
