shows have nothing to do with it.  Make sure they have enough space to reproduce and if that doesnt work try selling them and getting a new pair.

I don't know if you solved this problem or not but in my zoo, the pair of dolphins I had gave birth. I gave them 96% suitability (mostly their favorite foliage) and they have been 98-100% happy. If you have a dolphin show then try to make it infrequent so they will have a better chance to reproduce. Hope that helps. :)

I wonder if they have any favorite foliage! I just tried all the foliage, and they like it all. With a 40 sq tank, and 11 small ocean rocks & depth >5, I tried all sorts of combinations of foliage. With 8 in the tank, it didn't matter which ones, or if there were 8 different ones. The only one that didn't give 100% suitability was the sargassum - they didn't dislike it, just not quite as high. Opening up the dolphin in APE, it does show a tank size minimum of 80 (animal density is 20) - perhaps that will increase chances of offspring?

My dolphins always breed... But then, I never have shows either.

Try using all kelp foliage.

Wow! Thanks, I did and I got two babies!
Also there were three dolphin pairs. That may help. ;)

Congrats Tigeress! :happy

Another thing that helps is to place one dolphin in the tank, get it as suitable as possible (it's quite easy to get 100%-use all kelp and only small/medium rocks) then when you're done, sell the dolphin and put a new pair in, that way they are already in something suitable and happiness will not go down while you are builing the exhibit! ;)
