How Do You Make A Download?

I really want to learn to make downloads but I can't find a tutorial. Can someone help me?

Howdy, naturelover5! Well, we need a LOT more information before anyone can help you.

1) Do you want to make downloads for ZT1 or ZT2?
2) Do you have ES?
3) What painting programs do you have?
4) Do you have a hex editor?
Answering those will at least get someone started on helping you. :happy

If you want to find a tutorial, go to the 'home" page and click on forms, then scroll down until you reach 'creativity center". You can choose a tutorial from there.

  (And,yes, that does count as double posting.You can use the "edit" button.)

Well what kind of download are you trying to make?

You need to realise that making things is VERY difficult and you will need a lot of patience.

Animals! Yeah I know it's going to be difficult. But I'm used to that. I'm in advanced school program, I write and I play the trumpet. So I'm kind of used to difficult things. I just need to know what to do.

Well, hate to tell you, but playing the trumpet is NOTHING like making an animal! :hehe  Have you downloaded the APE II program here yet? If so, have you downloaded the programs that go with it? When someone wants to make downloads, we on the Design Team generally suggest they NOT start with an animal. First try a stationary object, like an arch, or a bench, to get 'the feel' of coding and re-coloring. Penguinman's OCT (Object Creation Tutorial) will guide you through that. Once you've gotten the 'feel' of coding and get an object to appear correctly in the game, you can attempt animal coding by using APE II.

I'll tell you how I found APEII. Go to desighner recources and go to the bottom to popular downlodes.

Now on OCT I have trouble with the part that says:"Go into “ai” and in there find the file which corresponds with your object. It should have the same name as the folder containing the files." I open entities.z2f with winzip, click a folder called entities, then a folder called ai and in that folder there is one file called entity.xml I click on it and it takes me to a web page that says:

Well, the first thing is that you need to NOT open that file. :shocked  Copy the file to a safe place, then use either WinZip or WinRAR, use the EXTRACT button and extract the Entities file to that safe place. Inside that unzipped entities file, you will find all the files you need, in a usable state.

Hey guess what I kind of figured out how to do some animal coding. It's kind of like HTML! It's all like code.! I have been looking at all the different animals codes. So I think I'll be doing projects! but I still might need help(very possible)!  :lol I really really happy!!!
