Ahhhhhhhhh. :crying: This sounds good, so ill wait*waits 30 seconds* FIX THOSE PICS
-
All right...
Next, we have the ancestor of dinosaurs -- Euparkeria!
Euparkeria (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Euparkeria.jpg)
-
Cool pics, especially the proterogyrinus. It's a downoald or is just a Nile Monitor, because it looks really good.
-
Sorry to say, it's just a Nile monitor. But it still looks good, doesn't it? I'll be back with pics soon...
OK, we exit the Paleozoic section and turn to the Mesozoic...
Here we have a flock of Ornithomimus... (Yeah, there's only one in the photo though)
Ornithomimus (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Ornithomimus.jpg)
These quick omnivores share their space in the wild with the mighty Tyrannosaurus, so they've gotta be speedy!
There's also birds here -- take a look at the giant flightless seabird Hesperornis!
Hesperornis (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Hesperornis.jpg)
PS: Is there a way to make the title of the picture (eg: Hesperornis) appear on my first post? 'Cause I always have to edit it again to make the title show.
-
And the Deinosuchus Pond! Home to a pair of the second largest, if not the largest, crocodiles in history!
Deinosuchus (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Deinosuchus.jpg)
-
Bravo Fennec Nichov! Are you going to just use non-user animals because that will be cool
(Off Topic again :rofl2: you should check your pms)
-
I will use some user animals but no prehistoric ones. (The Euparkeria was a user animal -- the eastern blue-tongued skink)
:offtopic: I didn't find anything in my PMs. Maybe you should try again.
-
Oh O.k I just thought that you were going to be like pack rapter and only use official animals to make this story more interesting. :tele:.
:offtopic: Glad it got through! :loony:
-
I use downloads, but I don't use prehistoric ones because
A. I don't want to, I don't have Dinosaur Danger and most user-made ones are flimsy (no offense to those that have made them, there just aren't any good enough models)
B. I don't have any!
Then... We came to an aviary! A sign on the door says: "Push only one door at a time to prevent the birds from escaping!" You push the door and in we go...
Aviary Entrance (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Aviary.jpg)
-
Screeches ring out as we enter. A long-tailed bird is standing in front of you. It's an... Archaeopteryx! The earliest bird!
Archaeopteryx (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Archaeopteryx.jpg)
-
This really cool
-
Thanks. I'll try to find time to post more soon.
PS: Aargh! Photobucket is under maintenance!
-
Try Image Shack It works for me.
-
Don't worry Photobucket is up now. I don't use Imageshack because it reportedly deletes your pictures after a while.
-
Erm... What about an Avimimus? If you accept, use the secretary bird or peafowl.
-
Awesome! I love the avairy!
I see you're all set up and good now. (just so you know Fennec Nichov sent messages to me on Wikipedia, she was asking about ZA. :eleph:)
-
Just so you know Fennec Nichov sent messages to me on Wikipedia, she was asking about ZA.
Just to let you know Fennec Nichov is a guy Cuddly Panda.
-
Yeah, you're right Chimpinater. And ZooLu, sorry but I've already got my own ideas. Plus I've already used the peafowl and the secretary bird. Cuddly Panda, I like that aviary pic too!
As we exit the aviary, we come to a small terrarium with Callobatrachus. These frogs shared their habitat with China's feathered dinosaurs.
Callobatrachus (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Callobatrachus.jpg)
-
Next, we come to the Mesozoic Mammal Corner. Here is a shrew-like Morganucodon. This mammal is nocturnal and small, allowing it to hide from dinosaurs.
Morganucodon (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Morganucodon.jpg)
And here is a Didelphodon pen. These mammals are much bigger than Morganucodon, about the size of a badger. They were omnivorous, and especially liked dinosaur eggs. They even ate baby dinosaurs if they got the chance.
Didelphodon (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Didelphodon.jpg)
-
As we exit the age of dinosaurs, you spy a free-roaming animal in the distance... an Argentavis. What on earth could be coming next...?
Argentavis (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Argentavis.jpg)
-
You make me want to start my own zoo. Tommorow I will try it and if I do I will have my own version of Convexity . PS What model is that Didelphodon.
-
Sounds cool! Can't wait! The Didelphodon are really ratels.
In front is a rainforest exhibit... What can be inside...?
Rainforest Exhibit (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=RainforestExhibit.jpg)
-
You walk around and manage to see some animals...
A Godinotia, a primitive lemur-like primate...
Godinotia (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Godinotia.jpg)
An Eurotamandua, an early anteater...
Eurotamandua (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Eurotamandua.jpg)
And a small pool with a flock of Pesbyornis. These duck-like birds eat small animals in the water.
Pesbyornis (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Pesbyornis.jpg)
This is an Eocene jungle exhibit. We have a pair of Eurotamandua, a pair of Godinotia and a flock of Pesbyornis.
-
We soon leave the Eocene jungle exhibit and continue on...
We come to a small pen with the ancestor of most carnivore mammals -- Miacis!
Miacis (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Miacis.jpg)
-
Awesome, boy!!!
Those exhibits are reaaaally cool. I'm one of those that dont have DD, too; so i know how does it feel.
Anyway, incredible knowledge of prehistoric animals...you've mentioned a few ones that i even didn't know...and which animal is the Myacis?
It looks cool.
-
It's a download raccoon. Anyways, thanks for the compliments.
-
Thanks for the info, Fennec.
I will go in a search for that raccoon.
-
The downloads are currently offline, but when it comes back search for design team biome pack: temperate forest pack.
-
I've decided to post some more updates...
We leave the tiny Miacis exhibit and come a to a savannah exhibit. It's an exhibit with Phorusrhacos, or terror birds. These were the top predators in ice age South America until Smilodon arrived and forced them to become scavengers.
Phorusrhacos (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Phorusrhacos.jpg) (sorry, there's something wrong with the picture)
They share this exhibit with Toxodon.
Toxodon (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Toxodon.jpg)
-
:goodpost:BRAVO, BRAVO! I think the Toxodon would have been better as pygmy hippo.
-
I know... but I have other plans for the pygmy hippopotamus...
-
let me guess.......Madigaskan Pgmy Hippo.could you do a baji and do a tour of a basilosaurus hall
Baji/ :dolphin
Basilosaurus Hall/Blue Whale hall
Dire Wolf/Wolf
Saber tooth/lion
-
No, you're wrong... :wicked: And I don't have MM2... I might try the dire wolf and Smilodon if I have time though... Anyways...
We keep walking and we come to a wetland exhibit. You can see a pair of Moeritherium. These primitive water-loving Eocene elephants look and behave like tapirs. They sometimes wander along the swamps to the sea, so don't be surprised if you see a Moeritheirum in shallow seas!
Moeritherium (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Moeritherium.jpg )
-
Wow! This is really cool. I'm not normally a fan of extinct animals, but somehow I'm intrigued by this! It's just fun to see what creativity you use to make each one! Awesome! :)
-
Thank you! And don't worry, I'm going to do other stuff after this zoo, so people that aren't big fans of paleontology can enjoy modern animals.
-
Nice zoo! It's always interesting seeing how people use existing animals as something else.
-
Yes, I had fun choosing what animals to feature and what animals to use them as.
-
We keep going and come to an Oligocene scrub exhibit. Here you can see the rhinoceros-sized pig Entelodon.
Entelodon (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Entelodon.jpg)
Suddenly, a huge animal comes over to the fence. The largest land mammal ever -- Indricotherium!
Indricotherium (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Indricotherium.jpg)
-
it says this file no longer exits
-
Both links?
EDIT: OK, I fixed them
-
You can make them one word, you just have to do it manually. When you add a link, it looks like this:
[ URL ]http://www.zooadmin.net[ /URL ]
Make it like this:
[ URL=http://www.zooadmin.net ]Put the words you want shown here [/URL ]
Hope that helps! Nice pics too.
-
Thanks KH! That worked!
-
Soon we're nearing the end of the zoo. A pair of Diprotodon, giant wombats, rest in their scrub exhibit.
Diprotodon (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Diprotodon.jpg)
Nearby, their predator, the giant monitor lizard Megalania resides.
Megalania (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=Megalania.jpg)
OK everyone, that's all I have of this zoo, but look out for my next one! ;)
-
And in case any of you are interested, here's the map of Fennec Nichov's Prehistozoo:
Prehistozoo Map (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Prehistozoo/?action=view¤t=PrehistozooMap.jpg)
-
Yay! :goodjob: Fennec!
-
:ty1: :sthanks: :ty1: :sthanks:
Hmmm... should I reaveal my next subject or not... :wicked:
-
loved the prehistoric zoo! REVEAL!REVEAL!
-
Hee hee hee... I promise NOT to reveal my next zoo... you're welcome to guess though... however you won't get anything for guessing right!
-
-
Great job on the prehistoric zoo, Fennec Nichov!! I am intersted to see how the next one will go. ;)
-
Is it a rainforest themed zoo?
-
how do you get the disks in without hands, without sracthing or slobbering on them? and where do you FIND these disks?
-
im reading this and installing CivCity Rome at the same time. CivCity Rome's music makes this sound even cooler. ;)
-
OK, I hold the disks in my mouth, but only the boxes, not the disks themselves. I let them drop onto the disk drive, then I use my paws to ease them into the groove in the middle. I sometimes sneak onto planes to go to other countries and steal ZT2 disks... :wicked:
-
-
Fennec, if you ARE a fennec fox, then how come you can spell so well? I mean, a fennec fox would type more like this: jAQTUuhYHUdaadhiyafauie. (Just give it up.)
-
Please keep this thread on topic and behave civilly towards each other or it will be closed. Thanks.
-
I've studied human language before, so that's how I can spell... ;) Now stop asking me questions about how I can do this and that... This isn't a thread for this, just PM me if you have anymore questions! OK, about the zoo, it will be up shortly, but my computer's sort of troubled so it may take a few days...
-
Sorry for being such a slacker! Here's the next "zoo". Well, not really a zoo...
Here at FN's Animal Desperados Inn live the animal desperados. No, they don't steal! They're called animal desperados because they're desperate for publicity. Which means you won't find any tigers or lions or elephants here. Here are the animals that few people know... So, here's the entrance (http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u60/Fennec_Nichov/Animal%20Desperados/?action=view¤t=Gate.jpg)
-
This looks great
:eleph: :eleph: :eleph:<------I love this smiley
-
This sounds cool, Fennec Nichov! Interesting name for your zoo as well!!
-
Thank you! I'll try to find some time to post pics...
-
I can't wait to see how it turns out!
-
i love your zoo :wild:
-
I'm sorry as Fennec Nichov will no longer be able to reply to this thread it is now :signclosed: to prevent people bumping the topic.
