Speed of game time?

Is there an understandable relationship between game time and real time? I.E., in the ztd's, if reproduction time is 1440, is that game minutes, and how many real minutes is that?

I don't know if this will help or not, but when I let a map run through the first year so everything will be available when I start building, it takes about 1 hour and 13 minutes.  Like I said, I don't know if that helps.  Good luck figuring it out!
