Although you need a podium for a zoo educator to talk, on zoopedia, it says that if there is no available podium, the educators will talk to guests. I have NEVER witnessed this; if there is no podium, my educators find a bench and sit, or they go and sit in the Staff Center. Has anyone observed an educator talking to guests without having a podium to stand at?

Mine, too. They just sit on a bench until you give them a podium.

I think it's possible it's one of those things that just never got removed from the zoopedia, as I have never seen them do this either!

And, I've never seen anyone listening to them, either! I think they're a waste of money.

I usually see guests in a huddle around the podium listening to the educator...maybe I'm just lucky? lol.

Yeah and I get guest every once in awhile that say's "I like listening to Educater 1" Do the educaters do anything beside talk? Like do the guests donate more to the exhibit if their listening to them?

It might depend where you put the podium

yeah, you are supposed to get more educational donations if you have educational exhibits and if you have educators.

I also get that guest thought, about them liking listening to the educator.

Me too, and they still get some extra donations - but my guests only really just walk past the podium to the donation box, they hardly ever stop and listen.

I usually use the freeform, so money isn't an issue, but if I am restricted for money I never use them as they cost way more than they generate in the way of educational donations.  But if I do use them, I make sure there is a donation box right next to them!

Yes I DO see guests huddled around my educators at times.  In fact, sometimes I will put one in front of a less popular exhibit to try to pull over more guests, and every once in a while, it works!

I never use them, though, like you said, when money is an issue, because those guys are overpaid!

I've never seen guests around mine. I often put them near the main entrance, so most guests think about liking them, but they never stop. I wonder what makes the difference?

It stinks they took out the tour guides like in ZT1 and the tour guides walked around the zoo and the guests followed.

They don't do much... They're like twice as time wasting as the other staff, which are already so.

why?  they didn't do anything.

but the zoo educators do stuff, mainly edcate people, giving then collage hats, and then the guests DONATE to your zoo!

Hats???

I'd prefair a tour guide so he/she can give a tour and educate.
I did see some people crowd around him/her but they didn't donate they just said: I like Educator 1 or Wow I didn't know that, but that was once  :ohmy :faint

I agree with you about the tour guides, DinoMania.

Sometimes I see the guests thinking "Listening to Educator 1 is interesting" but actually they walk right by the podiums without looking at the educator! O.0

I disagree with you guys, cause the educators usually end up doubling my educational donations :D which I might add are not bad to start with.
