I've never had a problem as long as they had similar needs as far as biome goes...

Yes in general the guests really enjoy mixed exhibits.

The only thing it might hurt is your educational exhibit rating, as having foliage from the same continent the animal is from boosts the rating, and obviously if you have mixed continents someone is going to be with foliage from another continent!   But no one really knows the "formula" for all that and I think the entertainment value of having mixed continent exhibits most likely outweighs the educational hit you might take for having animals living together that normally wouldn't.

I agree with you about the educational thing, Peacenote. That was a problem I had w/ the second scenario in the es photo safari (which I haven't finished). By the way, I know that there's a download here ZA that has that es photo safari partially done, and I tried to download it, but I didn't know where to save it. Can anyone tell me where to save it.

This topic explains where the different folders are for saving the downloads.  If you're still having trouble, please post any questions you might have HERE.

thanks Peacenote, but when I tried to download it, it said that I didn't have permission to download it, and that I had to ask the administrator for permission.

I never put animals from different regions together. I do mix biomes (eg Asian Elephant with Peafowl with a mix of more scrub, and a little temp forest and a little rainforest) but never regions. I dont think it's realistic. The first time I ever played ZT2 I argued to near death with my cousin because he wanted to make a Hippo-Beaver-Crocodile or Okapi-Lemur-Jaguar-Tiger or some other crazy exhibit like that and I refused. : :) :

Same. I don't like to do it, but if I'm cramped for space I might put animals from different sides of the world together.

If you mean if the two species are in the same biome but are in different parts in the world, then it's okay. For example: if you have a giant panda and a spainish lynx in one exhibit, then it's fine, even though the giant panda lives in China and the spainish lynx lives in Spain. Still, I wouldn't want to put a lynx in with a panda, peafowl, or red panda, the lynx might kill them!

I don't usually put creatures from different parts of the world together... Though it's usually because one would kill the other. ^_^ I rarely mix biomes though I will put different species in with each other, like the Red Panda and Panda. They seem to live quite happily with one another.

A lot of the animals like the grass biome as well as their original biome, so you can mix them quite easily there,

Several animals like lots of different biomes too, mixing is fun, but as Peacenote says, this does tend to have a negative effect on your star rating...

In one zoo, I kept the panda, red panda and koalas with each other and they were fine with it. I have tried mixing biomes before but my animals kept wandering into the other side of the exhibit and complaining about their biome needs, so eventually I stuck a fence in.

Hippo-Beaver-Crocodile has actually worked for me...Hippo-Beaver-Crocodile-Flamingo, in fact. As long as you keep the crocs well-fed they will leave the other animals alone.

:D I get to 5 star rating very quickly by doing large exhibits and mixing the animals in regardless of what region they are from. I just make sure my carnivores are not with the herbivores. I don't like finding animals being eaten!especially the scrub and grass has several animals that like it from all over the world

You get stars mainly because of amount of animals or diversioty of animals and guest happyness so you dont need big mixed exibits and they bring down you education donations

I usually don't mix two animals from diffrent regions together because it seems too unrealistic to me. I used to though!

All the time.
I love to do so, because I like to do what I never saw at real life. That's why I play videogames...

Then, you shouldn't like zoos. It's taking animals out of their habitats and placing them in a place to be seen...
