Same fore me. For some reason a 16 foot tall dinosaur is afraid of getting its feet wet.

Its one of "those" animals. You know, you cant place them in water, but they walk through it just fine.

It's because it struggles in deep water, but does fine in shallow. Shallow is probably treated like deep in that respect.

There are just some animals that cannot be placed in water - namely if they cannot swim in deep water, which apparently the Trex cannot.

Can any of the dinosaurs swim? Otherwise it's like 'the mighty tyrannosaurus can't swim!' These mighty beasts are king here - and then they fall in the water and start squeling.

Yeah, they should have made it so the T.rex can swim, because the carnivorous dinosaurs were very good at it, even better than the herbivores (which, in the game, can swim). There's a fossil find of carnivorous dinosaur tracks (which probobly belonged to dilophosaurus) that show that it was jumping off the bottom of a lake, like some people do in a pool.

I'v had this same problem in shallow water for some reason with zebras and gazelle as well as a T-Rex.  They start drowning in shallow water when, just seconds ago,  they been running around in it with the water only up to their legs!  This is weird. lol

Once my gemsbok was struggling in the water with it's legs folded up, like it was lying down!

Well, I think few animals can't cope with at least shallow water. But there still are...
Common Peafowl
Fennec Fox  :boohoo: (I'm one! And I swim just fine!)
Red Panda
Small Primates (Chimpanzee, Ring-Tailed Lemur, Orangutan, Crested Gibbon, Gelada, Barbary Macaque)

Animals That Can't Cope With Deep Water:
Above Animals
Most Ungulates (except for the African Buffalo, Wildebeest, White Rhinoceros, Black Rhinoceros, Hippopotamus, Pygmy Hippopotamus, Baird's Tapir)
Red Kangaroo
Gorilla

I'm not sure about koalas... I've heard they don't swim but I once saw one do it...?

I've forgotten now. I saw it about 3 years ago. They were talking about th prehistoric oceans and how some dinosaurs adapted to living near the sea. I remember the narator saying "Even the mighty Tyranosaurus did it's fair share of island hopping" while you see a T-Rex running at full speed in the water thus swimming.
I'm :ssorry: I couldn't remember the name.

Yeah, i found that funny too. Since the t-rex has tiny arms it would be very hard for it to swim.

However this doesn't explain how it manages to drown in 3 inch deep water. It seems to 'sink' into the ground for some reason! wah!

I once had a T-rex walk through deep water while stalking a styracosaurus. If it can't swim, how can it walk on deep water?

i don;t have dino danger but perhaps it's so high it just can walk trough it and doesn't need to swim?
if this is very stupid sorry :snew:
