Is it possible to get into the other older animals like the zebra or elephant's files and change it in a way so we can ride them like we do the orca;s and dolphins?

I would like to swim with the whale shark though, divers do all the time, I have no idea why we can't!

hm. me and alek tryed this with the PWH and it didn't work

but the whale shark seems possible!! and a great experiance to!

I tried just looking in the files to see if I couldn't get somewhere and in the tsk file for the Bottlenose there was a part that said

And I thought that could be something but I am not really a tech. person like that.

you can only "ride" on swiming anmals, aka, marine.

That is correct. Only MM2 has this feature attached to it, and it is not possible to 'switch' it to other types of animals. Sorry.:

So let me get this right: You can't switch the 'Swim with...' feature from a marine animal to a land animal, but it is possible to put it on another marine animal?

Just out of interest csleesburg, why can't you change that, since they would both be the same and you wouldn't really need to change anything???

I'm not a technical person, so couldn't you just do this:

actually its quite easy to see why it wouldnt work for the land animals - no animations for the view from the horse back etc. it might work for some other marine animals as the animatins for it could be the same as the dolphins etc. the only way to check would be to amend the files and test but i for one am not willing to hack my game to test at the moment.

What have animations got to do with it? All it does is fix a camera view to the back of an animal, the animal still uses all the same animations. I see no logical reason that it wouldn't work on a land animal.

it sounds a really cool idea, this riding animals stuff - but seeing as I don't have MM2, and am not really tech. literate, I guess the best I can do is cheer from the sidelines ^_^ you go peoples!

Me and a other guy, have try'd it 4 days after MM was realesed in Holland. And with no success... maybe we had the wrong lines.. but i don't think its possible, we were out of ideas

I have noticed when i ride the marine animals that they stop whatever they are doing once you start riding them and will go around in a loop to drop you back in the water

i dont realy know if that would be with the file that those certain animals come with or are just in the animations

just to let you know my opinion.......

I'm not a coding guy, but I can kinda see why it wouldn't work for land animals: Okay, so these "riding on back" files are for MM2 animals only, correct. Correct. So, it would be impossible to put new files into animals that weren't coded to handle them. Its like sticking a Wii game in a NES. They weren't originally made to handle it, and therefore, unless there code was totally rewritten, would be impossible to change. (thats how I think of it)

i don't think it's possible to ride on an marine animal except it is already in mm2, i think that is impossible because if animals just start behaving strange( going in circles dont sleeping) to make you be beable riding it normally the other animals also marine animals don't have that animations so it would be impossible.
atleats i thought it wasimpossible making animations for mm2 animals?
