help with bmp file

i have a picture and i cant put it on the forum because it's a bmp file. i dont know how to change the bmp file into something that is compatible with this forum (like jpg.) i tried putting .jpg at the end of the name but it didn't work. how do i get it on the forum?

Open up paint, open the file, go to File > Save as and save it as a jpeg

After you save your pic on paint, your pics name is near the bottom. Under it, it might sat "bmp". If you click on the arrow next to the "bmp" name, it will show a bunch of other names. You will see "jpg". Click on it and it will be able to let you post a pic.:happy:
