No, only males develop the tusk, its use is for attracting mates and (very rarely) self defense.  Perhaps it's a genetic disorder? Just kidding, it's probably a glitch.

I know the narwhal has variant models - perhaps this is a variant model as well? Female narwhals do grow tusks, albeit very rarely.

Correct. Like Crookshankz stated, females grow horns very rarely.

But I don't know if it's programmed like that in Zoo Tycoon 2 though.

Horns of Female Narwhals are possible but rare some times they develop horns over time. If they do have horns their normal quiet small and not to its full strength. BF probly forgot about this detail.

It might be a glitch... but if it isn't then it might be interesting.

I've never seen a female Narwhal with a tusk in the game. Maybe it is a glitch?

I don't think I've seen any of these variants, but I don't use narwhals very often.

Do you have a picture of a narwhal with two tusks? I'd like to see that if you do.

Females can develop "tusks" but they are more like stubs, not the long horn the Narwhal is famous
for. :viking4:

ok ill post the link: http://zootycoon.com/Products/MarineMania/Narwhal.htm

See, if you look at the biggest narwhal in the picture, if you look closely, you can just barely make out a tusk behind the one in the front. If you look at the base of the tusk, there is another tusk space behind it
