Animals "hitting" guests. Yes or No.
« on: April 03, 2007, 03:21:12 PM »
Just to start off, I know that there are little kids on this website so I want to try to keep this as nice as possible.

I just want to know what do you think of BlueFang letting animals "hit" guests do you think it should be in the game or not.

In my opionon it should be because it just brings realism into animal behavouir because you know that animal would do that in real life.

What do you think?

Attacking is a natural behaviour. There is no need to be overprotective...

It's nowhere near graphic, and the animals already die and if killed get turned into carcasses so I have no problem at all.

in wildlife zoo i was playing the game and i had some dinofelis (i think) and all of a sudden one mounted the other during mating! that game is rated E10+  so in my opinion ZT2 can get much more realistic.

Just as long as there's no blood or gore and such, then I'm okay. But I honestly don't like the idea of guests getting eaten alive by dinosaurs. But it can be funny sometimes. :egglaugh Also, animals getting attacked it completely natural, and I don't mind at all how attacked animals turn into carcasses. But I once had a leatherback turtle get killed and it turned into a fish carcass. :eggblink

Something about the carcass should be done diffrent like if a lion dies and a gazzele dies both their carcasses are alike, size, shape, colour.

They should be big and small diffrent shapes more like the actual animal and diffrent colour of meat on the carcass.

I would prefer slightly more realism to be honest. Not too graphic, like in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, but more graphic than currently. There should be an on/off feature for this too, and the default is off.

There's nothing like it shouldn't be, it could be much more realistic than JPOG in hunting and fighting. "BUT" there should be this option, violence (ON) or violence (OF) or like the increasing decreasing stuff(high, med, low, none, which is the default), just as you said Cuddly Panda!

I think that the ZT2 is a bit over protective about this BUT some people just wouldn't get the game if there was stuff like that and also it may bring bad atension but i admit the game is not real enough for me. the on off thing with the default off is a good idea but some may abuse it (eg. parent says dont turn on, child does.). i am very philosophical about this that is because i'm taking a GCSE in Philosophy and Ethics (great for this) My personal view is more realist please but NOT to much (because of the little ones)

sorry if i have been rambling but i am a philosophical person (Off topic: so much so i could baffle you about a pen (i have done that))

I would like to see the off/on realism thing, but also with mating and giving birth.Hvae you ever seen an animal in real life laying down and a little animal pops up right next to them, with everything sparkling and shiny? If you have, report it to scientists  :neneh

i think it's realistic for the animals to attack if they're out of their exhibit.  However, it's not realistic for them to be out.  So if you're going to complain about realism, just keep the animals in their exhibits!
