Title: Help with color variations

hi, I am having problems with some color variations i designed myself. I followed all the instructions in pengiunman's VAT guide but when I loaded the game I placed like 50 of the animal and I still did not see it. I pretty much perfectlly understod instructions #1-2 but I got a little confused during 3. Basically, what I mean is "how do you get the color variation into the game?"

Alright! Well, are you using WinZip or WinRar to make the .z2f file? And did you put the .z2f file right into C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2?

I used WinRAR to package it into a .zt2 file, but I didn't know you had to put in in the zoo tycoon directory. I'll go try that now, thanks!:original:

its not .zt2, its .z2f, that may be your problem

oh........ so that's why eventhough I put in the directory it still doesn't show up.... thanks for the info, ill try renaming the file.
