Moving on, if you go left, you'll come upon a small food court.

I just hope that he visited the face painting kiosk and isn't a human/spectacled bear mutant. :fear2:

This place offers a lot of different things. Like the photo booth, touch pool, gift cart, sky tower, etc.

@RhinoRaptor: Thanks. :original:

Douglas Pine Zoo was built on two small islands, you can use a bridge to get from one to the other. The islands are seperated by the Pacific ocean. Is it just me or do you see something in the water?

Why it's a pod of wild short-finned pilot whales! They do come through the zoo every once in a while, and getting a good picture of them is a bit challenging. Elusive fellows!

Further in the zoo is the Galapagos giant tortoise exhibit.

Hate to be off-topic, but I'm curious, has anyone ever had a Galapagos tortoise die of old age in their zoo? :huh:

@seaworldgurl: Thanks. It is cool to walk by the water and then see a pilot whale stick it's head out. :happy:

Okay, do you think the tortoise's dirty skin should be the normal skin? 'Cause it looks more realistic than the silly blue skin it has. :blink:

i kinda like the blue skins...but thats my opinion...there may be a way to make it their main skin...but then youd have to design another dirty skin!!! i like all the aquariums in a row like that!!

I was thinking about it and it is a neat little zoo. :original: There's only 11 (excluding the wild pilot whales) species but it is a great accomplishment I have made. : :) : I'll have to see. :thumbsup:

I must also say that I am now working on another zoo, but I'm gonna finish pics of this one first. Stay Tuned and leave comments! :laughing:

Great pics Kiwibuddy! The new computer just shows off what a creative builder you are! I have to admit though, I think my favorite from this last set was the baby tortoise :wub:
