The graphics blow ZT2 out of the water! :w00t  The animals look very realistic, and it seems to be more realistic in terrain. Heres the link

the pics look good... but i still like zt2 :D the moose... i dunno, and the giraffes... i'm not saying theres anything wrong with them, i just think they would irritate me after a while. I'm not sure why... :huh

This animals look so real! And I bet there's much more variety than ZT2 will ever have. I don't know if I'll buy it or not, but I sure will sit around and gape at the amazing graphics.

To Blue Fang: You guys could learn a thing or two from these guys.  :happy

Yeah, and imagine how good the graphics will be after almost another year of being worked on! By then they will be even smoother and better. I hope they have some good animals, preferably some new reptiles.

Nice!  I love the graphics in a few of the pics.  The bear and the moose look wierd though.  Any idea about the prices or if it's released yet?  I might get think about getting it if I get proof there are more animals in this than Zoo Tycoon 2

I bet there are. The variety of ZT2 is low for any tycoon game, so I'm 99.5% sure that there's a lot more animals than ZT2.

I must say that I'm impressed.  Never thought I would hear myself say that.  When I clicked on the link, I thought, "Eh, I'll just look and see but I'm sure they won't be comparable to ZT2."  But they are.  I like that building that is in with the tigers.....that looks cool.  I just might have to pick this one up depending on what the system specs are.

The release date is Quarter 1 or 2 for 2006. So it'll be a while, but thats just more time for improvement. And if you look in the Giraffe pic, where you see its head sticking above the fence, you can see the sky is grey, so maybe we'll get some weather effects.

If the gameplay is as good as the graphics.. holy!
I'll anyways buy it, it really looks awesome.
I hope there'll be support for custom animals now, else it will be boring after some weeks. :(

I was most impressed with the elephant screen and how you can see the life like texture of the elephants hide. It will be interesting to watch furter developments as the game gets closer to a release date.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find that the shots look that  great at all, especially the overhead views of the giraffes; to me it looks like the giraffe's are floating above the ground. :huh

maybe it weould be possible to take some graphics out of this and make new high quality zt2 animals

Well, the there is almost a year before the game is coming out. And in ZT2 the animals constantly are looking liek the are floating about the ground, especially when leaving the water and climbing hills, but also when simply walking along flat ground.

Actually, I feel the same way. :erm These graphics just aren't impressing me. I don't think I'll buy this one, I'll stick with ZT2 :happy

Are you kidding? The graphics, realistically, are OUTSTANDING compared to ZT2.  :shocked Of course, just about every game's graphics are outstanding compared to ZT2.  :lol

Anyways, I'm concerned about one thing: Remember WAAAY back in Feburary last year, when ZT2 was first announced? The graphics were breathtaking. But somehow, somewhere, they went way downhill. What if this is the same?

Well, I was just giving my opinion. I'm glad you think the graphics are outstanding, but I don't.

Perhaps you're right Xtreme. Perhaps now you think the graphics look realistic, but when you buy it the animals will look trashy and effortlessly created. That is something to think about... I hope it doesn't happen though, for the sake of the people wishing to buy it :whistle

I probably won't stick with ZT2 seeing how it gets incredibly boring, and the animals are unrealistic. The graphics for this gaem look like true animals, i mean the giraffe, flamingo, elephant and tiger models look very good, with the polar and brown bears, gorilla, and moose looking okay. And dolphindiver, we were also giving our opinions, and i doudt that the graphics will get worse, and i was hardly ever impressed with the ZT2 graphics.
