Is there a tutorial for foliage? I can't seem to find one but lots of people aare making folige.
-
No, there is not, yet. Penguinman was discussing making one, but foliage is actually almost as difficult as animals, believe it or not. Most (not all) of the folige the Design Team publishes is done by myself, and then coded by Penguinman. I don't know anyone else who is/has made foliage.

The DDS files look simple enough to edit, though. How hard can it be?

ok thanks!

?? You think so? Good luck with that, then.
-
Can you just say resize a plant
-
Yes, you can. It would be in the ai file, and would say something about "scale =1.0" (although the number might be .25 or .75) The higher the number, the larger the plant, the lower the number, the smaller the plant. Just make sure you edit the plant's shadow, too. (See, just this one simple thing, gets immediately harder than you'd think, doesn't it)?

The Problem is that there are Material and BFB files that become confusing the first time around. Eventually you get used to it but I'd say foliage is harder to make than animals probally.

Where is the penguinmans object tutorial? I saw something about it but can't find it. Someone help. :help

You'll have to join his site, ZT2DC (http://s14.invisionfree.com/ZT2_Designing_Center/). Then, in Member Downloads, you'll find his Object Creation Tutorial (OCT). BUT - it doesn't work on foliage. Sorry. : :( :
-
ok thanks! :specool:
-
one more thing, i found it but i don't know where to place the folder.:ermm:
-
I've made foliage, even before that guide came out.
-
Yes, there is. When our downloads are available, you'll find a new tutorial by Nique on Foliage.

You can also find it at ZT2 Designing Centre:
