My never do. I have mine set to have 2 to 20 pups (the real number that they have) and so I just get one breeding mother and father and let them populate!

Yeah. I read that the lower numbers are actually reported from captivity, and that in the wild its higher. I think its because primarily only one female has the pups, and that the rest of the pack can help her raise them? Maybe I'm thinking of a different animal, lol, but I thought that would be a viable answer.

Actually, I think you're right.
I did a project on African Wild Dogs but I didn't see the part about 20 pups. It was more like 5.

Everywhere I went, it actually said 2 to 20. No "3 to 11" or "4 to 15" or anything, lol. So I just thought, well, that must be right then, haha.

How'd you change the number of offspring? I know I saw it somwhere on ZA but I forgot where it was. :blushing: Could ayone give me a link?

Also, I love the African Wild Dog exhibit, RhinoRapter. And your right, it is 2 to 20 pups. Your exhibit looks really good and natural... that's kinda' the point, though, isn't it? : :) :
