Todays objective is to get a sample of mushrooms and brazil nuts. When I reached the river I noticed better specimens on the other side of the river.http://img336.imageshack.us/my.php?image=overriverxd6.jpgSo I started on across.I happened to notice a kelp bed. I noted it in my notepad.http://img336.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kelpbedhn5.jpg

Coolkid, I don't know about the rest of the world, but I know in many places of the US and Canada, people are dealing with finals and coming back from winter vacations. And its a forum, so people don't always respond right away, and may not for a few days. I'd hate to see you close it up without realizing why people might not be replying! Zoo Admin has been pretty quiet ALL over, not just in your thread! Don't feel bad!

:woot: you are using some Penguika stuff! That picture of the Manatees and Turtles looks very nice, like you are really in the water with them!!

And here we go!:woot: :woot: :party5:
The next day I set out. My boss texted me a picture of his zoohttp://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?image=overviewmapgm5.jpgOne dy those cages will be filled to crowding.
My objective today is to collect a male and female short-eared zorrohttp://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pairofzorroskb1.jpg. I walked out of camp and set out to the piranha pool I found. When I got there I pulled out my fishing rod. After a while I caught a few. I killed the fish and laid them as baithttp://img300.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fishbaitwm6.jpg. I put up a blindhttp://img96.imageshack.us/my.php?image=waterblindad7.jpg and waited. Sure enough, a pair of zorros came 10 minutes later. What they saw was the free food. What they didn't see was the pit traphttp://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zorrosintrapxg1.jpg. It may seem cruel, but they had a soft landing. I tranqued them and went back to base. There lay the problem,...housing. Luckily we had extra fencing. Just as the tranq wore off the fence was finishedhttp://img205.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zorrocagebeforend2.jpg. We put the zorros inhttp://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zorropenafterqa3.jpg. I set out to hunt for food. Out of the purest luck, I found a fresh jaguar carcasshttp://img157.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jaguarcarcassci8.jpg. I hauled the meat back to base. As for water, we decided to dig a canal to our base. Later, the men finished on the job. Now the pen looks fantastichttp://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=finishedzorropentk3.jpg. I was so exhausted after the days work I turned in.

That sure was a long day:sweatingb

Those Zorros love their fish! And boy, all of that work must have you tired!

Good to see you going ahead with this, Coolkid!

I'm back!:woot:

I woke up the next day felling refreshed. In the camp the zorros were becoming a hit. My boss called me accepting the zorros, but let us keep them for awhile. Letting them get used to a cage I guess. Todays objective is to take ten gray-winged trumpetershttp://img180.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lotsoftrumpeterseg6.jpg for the zoo. I decided to take my brother with me as well."The trumpeters tend to stay in flocks, so this will be an easy mission" I said. He nodded and we were off. All of a sudden I heard squaks. I knew we were close. Suddenly two jaguars began fighting right next to us.http://img180.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jaguarsxl5.jpgWe crouched next to a treehttp://img180.imageshack.us/my.php?image=crouchzc8.jpg and planned a way to get the birds. We will throw a net over them. I came prepared and had cages back at base. We collected the birds and put them in the cageshttp://img170.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cagesea8.jpg Although it was not a long day, I went to sleep

Ok

I woke in the morning to find the trumpeters gone. A colleague told me that the boss took them in the middle of the night.
My mission is to take a pair of each creature in the river. This is the final day. I went to the river.http://img159.imageshack.us/my.php?image=riveriy2.jpg I jumped in with my tranq gun. I saw a few tucuxishttp://img411.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dolphinsfc1.jpg and shot them, then sent them back to base. One down, two to go. I went farther along and saw a manatee in some weeds.http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=manateerw5.jpg I shot, then waited. As a reward for my patience, another came. I shot it. I went further still and found a large number of turtlehttp://img411.imageshack.us/my.php?image=turtlesek8.jpg and took two.

                                        (Later)
The base is packed up and are to set back to the zoo. I said good-bye to the forest, and vowed to come back. I suddenly felt a nudge on my leg. It was a zorro!" I know boy, I'm comin'" I said. Iclimbed in the chopper with the zorros, and flew away, with tears in my eyes.

When I wrote this(I'm such a baby) I began to sniffle:pout: .LOL

We arrived. The animals are in the cages. I got a promotion to a tour guide. Here is the current zoo.http://img170.imageshack.us/my.php?image=employerszoovp3.jpg Let's take a tour. AS we walk in, we see the food area.http://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?image=entranceeg7.jpg Here is the play areahttp://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rightha7.jpg right side, and the left side. http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=leftvg0.jpg Straight ahead is the exotic plants exhibit.http://img171.imageshack.us/my.php?image=plantdoz2.jpg But lets turn left. Over left is the jaguar exhibit.http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jaguarjd6.jpg
We turn around and find the trumpeter exhibit.http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rumpetwi5.jpg Just a bit further is the zorros.http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=zorroaz1.jpg We turn right and head down the path to th Amazonian water animals exhibithttp://img46.imageshack.us/my.php?image=amazonpp1.jpg

That is the beginning of the boss's zoo. The next adventure takes place in a verycold environment with "emperors".
