For food for the giraffes it says they will only eat from the Branch Browse holder i just noticed this now i have always just put all three in but do they eat from all three Hay,Branches, and grass

The other browse holders are for the elephants - if you go through the zookeeper reccomendations for the giraffe only the browse holder for branches is there
It is kind of strange I agree, especially as they will eat from the elevated food bowls

The elevated food bowls are no mystery, they don't have to bend down as much as say, a food trough.

I always thought that the ZT2 giraffes should be able to eat from the browse holder with hay because that's all I ever see them eating at real zoos.

they me be intended for the elephants but if you look the elephants when they eat from them their trunks dont even reach the food, and they look like they're eating from the stick, so the dimensions are more for the giraffe with all three browse holders.

someone should make a browse holder with water, just like a big bucket on a pole... :wtg

i dont think that would be the best idea to put water in a browse holder

There is one. It called Elevated Holder with Water. Works for animals that drink from heights. But elephants don't use it. Koalas and red pandas do, though. Elephants use a water trough.

u are taking about the elevated holder and im taking about the brouse holder that has grass, hay, and branches(sry if it sounds a litle rude)

Ring-tailed lemurs use the elevated water dish too.

Is there a particular advantage to using certain food for certain animals?
Some animals like more than one, like the red panda.
Which one do you use?

I use ground food, logs, carcasses and mounds. It looks more natural. Only the water and shrimp is used as a food bowl.

For giraffes I'd says its nature for them to occasaly put there heads down and drink/eat but if it says it will only do that... They should make some thing like this :
With a trouf and higher off the ground with a lader going up to it and I think it could work :D

:sthanks: Fennec, but does it really matter for the animals? I thought that maybe it would be better for them, for enrichment, to use substrate piles, and logs. Those aren't available early on in the game.

I agree with you! MS & Blue Fang should make those in the next expansion pack, which I think should be "Bird ......" or something like that!

they should totally make a tree feeder! it would be great for the lemurs and giraffes.
There could be little platforms on some of the branches where food could be placed.
