I've got photos of every baby animal I've ever raised on ZT2 (with ES and AA installed too!!) My computer is high-end so the photos look great. If anyone wants to suggest an animal they want to see (adult or child) I'll post a photo. First to step up: the baby White Rhino!! Taken a few minutes after birth.

Cool, here are the first few photos requested :D
The Baby Masai Giraffe is posing in front of the waterfall I made for her. She actually froze when I put the camera on her, so it was an easy shot!!
The koala has to be an award winner. What do you reckon?
Baby tapir is on the run, I JUST managed to catch it. Lucky, eh?
The red panda had just hit a red squeak toy, if I remember correctly.
And the mother tortoise is having a migraine because she's listening to her screaming children ... isn't the expression on her face priceless?

Great pictures! I like how the baby pics aren't just pics, but you've added something extra. Like in the giraffe pic, there's a waterfall, and the wild horse pic has an adult, as well as the tortoise pic. But nothing beats the baby tapir. :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: It looks like it's sunbathing!

Yep. What I do is construct a fenced-in enclosure for the animals, and when they've bred I whisk the mother and child off to a special natural exhibit with cliffs, trees, and waterfalls!! Oh, yes, always the waterfalls! I have a thing for water :)

The Koala baby...that is just the most cute and funny babypic I have ever seen on ZT2. I had to save to my comp lol. : :) :

Panda, asian elephant, wildebeest, orangutan, warthog ...
The baby panda seen here is nuzzling from it's mama, kuute!!
The asian elephant calf was a toughie. It looked so much like the adult that I didn't know what to do with it, so in the end I plumped for a size comparison.
This wildebeest calf was just born!! Not my best, but good as it goes.
A baby orangutan going out for a stroll on the town ... lol!!
And the baby warthog is just a simple stand-still pose ... it IS a baby, the adults are much darker, by the way.

Here's a baby secretary bird. The crazy parrots don't stop moving, so getting an action pose is bonker-hard-to-do!! I pulled it off well for the adult, the baby is just walking, which was easier.
Attached is the baby, as per request, and the adult for comparison :) Thanks for your support and admiration, everyone!!

Okay, here are the new photos. And sorry, there is no Baby White Tiger :( They didn't make one, waaaah.
And is the cape buffalo a user-created one? Because I've got an AFRICAN Buffalo, if that'll do ... hope it does. It's a mamma-bubba piccy, enjoy.
The Gerenuk I photographed was staring at a rock with its mother beside it. And if you look carefully, you can see I photographed a passing bird!
The baby spurred turtle is soooo cute!! I love this one when it's at full size, but they have to be shrunk for your viewing pleasures :( It's got such a loveable, cheeky toothless grin that I never thought would look good on a turtle.
With the hyena, there was a problem with the photo shrinkage, her eyes almost vanish. But I quite like the pose on this one, she's almost hiding behind the plant for safety. Also empahsizes how small she is.
Can't do wolf and bear together, and I don't know which bear, or which wolf, so please re-request that one!! :D
And the Baby Bengal tigers are cute. If you look closely you can see the lake directly behind them. I wanted to catch them swimming, and I did, but this photo was better so I kept it instead.

And last but NOT least ... the adorable baby polar bear!!
Funny story behind this one. My cat was watching the polar bears (she sits on my lap when I'm on the computer), and as I was going into camera mode, she leaned up and covered half the screen. So I photographed the polar bear family having a congregation as I had planned, then shifted her aside to see the big version and got a heck of a fright, because I didn't know the baby was RIGHT THERE!! Have a look for yourselves!!

ZA should have a "Wallpapers" place in the downloads section, so that users can use each others pictures as their desktop image; I would love a 1024x768 of the polar bear one!

Well, here are the shrunk-down (waaa-ha-ha-haaaagh) versions of the photos.
The baby gray wolf is one of MY PERSONAL FAVOURITES. In the full size one, you can clearly see narrowed eyes and two fangs sticking out - he looks so deliciously evil!
The baby grizzly I'm proud of because I managed to get lots of scenery in with it. The plants and trees and stuff - very hard to get, but I got lucky with angling and the fact that the guy wasn't moving and so I could niggle around and get a good photo without kicking up a stink that he kept running away.
The ostrich is just that - an ostrich, but the one behind him (that you can't see very clearly because the image is so small - **** these size restrictions!!!) looks like he's screaming at the top of his lungs. I understand it's a hooty-sort of noise he's making, but by God, he looks rediculous.
And be sure to check out Lizardlip's baby animals - very cute stuff!! I've gotsa compe-tu-shunnn!!!

Thanks!! I'm attempting to make some high-res, high-quality photo wallpapers with my signature in the corners for download. Each one is about half a megabyte, lol!! So if people wanna see the giga-size ones, they may just have to download 'em. Tee hee.
Oh, and here's the baby snow leopard. I really like this one personally because the look of shock and innocence on the visible one's face (they just had a playfight) is something you don't often see on the spawn of a bloodthirsty spotted carnivore that'd be happier to rip your head off than look at you. Take a look!

ALL THE BABY DINOSAURS?!?!?! *squeak!!*
Guh. Oh, all right then. Here are the four dinosaurs that come with "Zoo Tycoon 2: Dino Danger". I must say that in all honesty, I don't like them one jot. But I tried my best with posing them, especially with the T-Rex.
CARNOTAURUS - Looks more like a Baby Godzilla than anything else.
STYRACOSAURUS - Just a small Adult with slightly bigger feet : :( :
TRICERATOPS - See above. 'Cept the adult is green.
TYRANNOSAURUS - A weird little grey thing. See it roar. Not.
These dinosaurs could have been done so much better. As a dinosaur nut myself I was hoping for a lot better than this! Ah well, tell me what you think. Any good?

Unfortunately the game deleted the spectacled bear and the - just kidding, of course you can see a baby spectacled bear. Both gender of the peachicks look just the same. And I'll assume its a baby peafowl (prays silently).
So for the first post: baby Ibex, baby black rhino, baby wolverine, baby crocodile, baby crested gibbon. And then it's baby aardvarks, ratel, caribou, spanish lynx, markhor, spectacled bear, peafowl. You guys don't ask for much, do you?
The baby ibex is newborn and looking up at the sky. What for? Don't ask.
Baby black rhino is just standing by mama after a good feed.
Baby wolverine is stalking something invisible. Cute though!
Baby croc is posing by his ... uncle, I suppose. Not the best shot, but ah well.
The mother crested gibbon has just carried the lil' 'un around and is depositing him on the ground while staring fixedly at the camera. *sigh* So theatrical ...
And notice I've started signing the photos now! Virtually signing of course, not printing them off and signing them with a marker pen, that would be just silly.

Baby aardvarks are posing in the sunlight. One of my better ones.
The baby ratel is scuttling along. Striking resemblence to a skunk, no?
Baby caribou is getting milk from da - I mean, mummy.
The spanish lynx has just nursed from mum, too. Deja-vu, huh?
And the markhor one is one I just rephotographed today, as a matter of bizarre coincidence. I like this one because of the flowers surrounding it. The other one was a photo of a very fluffy backside. Not as good.

I don't know how many animals are left, I've posted about maybe 20 photos tops, and I've got 174 sitting in a folder twiddling their thumbs waiting for someone to request them. The photos I've got include the following (just to expand your imaginations):
- Every animal from the original game (adult and child): includes peafowl, pandas, grizzly bear, etc. etc.
- Every animal from Endangered Species (adult and child): includes koala, spectacled bear, lynx etc. etc.
- Every animal from African Adventure (adult and child): includes masai giraffe, aardvark, meerkat etc. etc.
- Every downloadable animal you can get off the net (or here at ZA): includes young and adult photos of musk ox, black leopard etc. etc.
- Every animal from DINO DANGER (adult and child): includes carnotaurus, t-rex, styracosaurus, triceratops
- Two scenic photos of each biome, including some great sunset shots and amazing waterfall photos
So come on! Get requestin'!!!

The adult I deliberately dropped in the midst of a herd of gazelles. This photo was taken a picosecond before they run for the Goolies of Nork.
The baby lion is another mid-action shot. Nice scenery.
And the musk ox baby is looking up at mum/dad/auntie/no-relation-giant-hulk-of-a-sheep. Not bad!

The baby chimp is in the same league of cuteness as the baby gorilla, with charming scenery and a tender moment between mother and son. Hmm. Poetry ain't ma strong point, but there you go. :bigboss5j
The baby zebra is AWESOME at full scale. Wonderful surroundings and a great pose from all the animals involved. Only problem is that real baby zebras are scrawny little runts with spindly legs - these things are the inflatable blow-ups you buy for four-penny at your local kindy. Not BF's most "naturally accurate" work, but still adowababable.

Oh, and how would you guys feel if I did User Made Animals? You would have to give your reasons why I should do your animal (or someone else's that you admire), but I will need the permission of this user before I would go ahead, otherwise it's kinda mean if they don't know about it. I've got wallpaper packs sitting waiting. They all, so far, take up 15MB for 170-something photos. But they're on their way, just need a place to drop them. Megaupload and savefile etc. etc. don't work due to a blocker on my computer, blast it. Neither does Imageshack. But if they had a wallpaper download area here I'd love that!!

Couldn't pick my favourite out of the 2 I had, so I uploaded them both! The second one is my favourite purely because of the way the greens blend together like poster paint and the water reflections. The first one is great for the cartoony bright colours with the water contrasting with the ... I'll stop now.

The baby's in an action mid-flight shot here, with a waterfall and cute plants in the background to give a bit of a colour injection to the otherwise dull desert sand. The baby's running towards mum to be nursed. One of my incredibly lucky shots.

A classic shot, crouching on the ground staring up one of those over-large tree trunks. lol. It worked well though.

Classic shot (again) of a tree and a waterfall, with a few bits and bops thrown around it.

The only part I HATE is the sky colour. Yech. What were they thinking? Is that what the sky looks like in Africa/Zaire? Because if it is they need more pollution in the air to darken the blue, I think. :rolleyes:

When I get back I'll sink my teeth into ... let's have a quick squidge ... skink, baby leopards, baby caracals. There are 2 versions of the baby caracal incidentally. BF released the game with a baby caracal being a shrunk adult, so I modified the game so it's a baby baby. Soooo cute! But you'll have to wait :P

I went to Australia Zoo and you wouldn't believe it. There were flowers, signed posters, notes of good luck for the family EVERYWHERE. And the guy who sang at the funeral sang again at the Crocoseum. It was really touching, the affection every staff member had for Steve. Every one of them seemed to be in a state of shock the whole day we were there. It was deeply amazing.
I'm using a library computer so this is a like one-off post until next ... Sunday, ish. Hopping between Aussie and New Zealand so jet-lagged, paranoid, itchy and furious sums me up well at the moment. I'm not cut out to be a tourist, I don't think. Ah well, see you all in a weekish!!

That's one thing I hate about ZT2's expansions, they just shrink adults and call it babies. Then again, if they did make the babies we'd still be waiting for MM2. Hmmmmm...

I was messig around with NifSkope through the Zoo Tycoon files, and the barbary ape IS cute! :wub: So is the caracal!
