I have recently downloaded the VAT from this website and it says that we need to find the animals file with .dds at the end but i can't find them or the x100x100 thing so i can't make my own varients, i can't find the files like lion_sick (something like that any way) mine just says Lion adult_F and i would love to make some variants for my animals. I have got WinZip and DXTbmp, I've got all of the add-ons except dino danger :hearye: :sign_help :sofa:

You will need to open entities.z2f for the lion :D

I go to that entities but apparently with the add-ons you need to go to x100x100 that's the file i can't find. There's is only one lion animal in that and it says lion.xml

You see, you only go to the add-ons for an add-on animal. The lion is from original ZT2 and therefore the skins are in the original files: entities.z2f :D

as this has now changed more to asking about editing the files movced to correct forum..... again LOL

It's that file where it only says Lion.xml (sorry if i'm getting annoying)

Umm.. I'm not really sure what you mean. Open entities.z2f go to entities/units/animals/Lion and find the .dds files there :)

I think we're starting to get somewhere, the only entities i can find are the ones for the space hack and food, i go through to where you say and instead of it saying .dds it says .xml

Well there will be an xml file, but there should be more too.

There aren't any more files i just checked and if it's the entities that came with the tutorials there aren't any files there

I'm not sure I understand... You should have opened up entities.z2f, is that what you did?

If that is the one in the Zoo Tycoon 2 file were all the official animals are (i presume that z2f means zoo 2 file) then i go to entities, units, animals, ai then it comes up with a list of animals from ZT2 original, with .xml at the end

yes, but you shouldn't go to there. Go to entities/units/animals/Lion

I think what PM is trying to say is dont go in the Ai folder just scroll down and find a folder names "Lion" then find the dds files

i went to the lion folder and it still came up with xml
