Title: Snow Leopard help
Post by: Emdr on April 11, 2007, 01:44:39 AM
Hello guys. Ive been playing zoo tycoon for a while and had a pretty high rating zoo and well thought out. Then came my very unfruitful decision to adopt snow leopards. They are never happy. Ive read more than 5 guides, done what they asked of me and they still arent happy. I replaced them with others(I have a male and female) and the other ones wtill arent happy! Any tips?

Hi Emdr, Well your right, snow Leopards are rather picky. They need room, elevation, and too many guests will upset them. Could you post a couple of pics of you Snow leopards? That would help in figuring out what thier problem is.

I've managed to get my Snow Leopards to be happy enough to breed. One tip about foliage: Put their foliage together, four trees in one square, until the sad faces show up. That should bump up their suitability and happiness a bit.  :eggwink

I have had this problem also. It took me quite a time before I discovered what the issue was.

I had been using the wrong sort of rock. I cannot recall what the correct rock ought to have been, but I replaced them with another sort and the snow leopards immediately brightened up.
So, my advice is; if you are using ordinary rocks, and the leopards are unhappy, switch to snowy rocks and see what happens.

Yeah, they like the snowy ones more.  I think it helps if you put 4 medium ones in a square instead of 1 large one.  They also love the highland rock formation, as well as the snowy rock cave and lots of elevation.

The important suggestions have been made already. I use all of them.

1. Use to see the game squares.
2. I put 4 himalayan pine trees on each square. I also fill the first
square, when the snow leopards give me an unhappy face with
    the first tree
3. I use the small snowy rocks. They will be happier with 4 small
    ones than one large one
4. I give them cliffs until you get an unhappy face. Then, I undo
   that last change.

Hope that helps.
