Im not sure, but think logicly if its a zoo "favorite" like a panda giraffe tiger lion the its going to be more atractive. Also endangeds animals are more acractive.

An easy way to find out is to look at your donation by species list.  The ones with the most donatators are the most popular.  I know that snow leopards are really popular!

There's a good article on what you're asking, but it doesn't include ES animals. Personally, I've found Fennec Foxes to be VERY VERY attractive and Lemurs a little less so, but still quite popular.

It varies for me. The article said T. Gazelles aren't popular, but in some of my zoos they are the star attraction :/

Unpopular animals can become more popular if they have a lot of babies or if they are the favorite animal of many of your guests.    Or if they are in a mixed exhibit and interact with other animals.

In the Javan Rhino scenario, the majority of the people in my zoo had the ostrich as their favorite animal.  So I made an ostrich exhibit, and it got more in donations than the Javan Rhino!

So I reccomend seeing if there is a common trend in the favorite animals of the people in your zoo.

I've heard that the gift shop items give you a good guide to the better animals - the animals the gifts are modelled around are the more popular with guests

Sort your guests by favourite animal then make an exhibit for them. Make only part of the exhibit viewable as the animal's privacy level will go red if there are to many people. Put a couple of donation boxes by the exhibit and you could put a tour in as well. People will enjoy their favourite animal and will donate lots of money, especially if they have babies. I will experiment and put some more info on this topic for everyone if no one else does before me.

I am now experimenting. I have 6 results so far. Over three months in the same exhibit and with one donation box, the ES animals receive this info:

Giant Sable Antelope - 76 Don. - $4, 384.68
African Wild Dog - 91 Don. - $7, 280.00
Markhor - 129 Don. - $7, 435.97
Gray Wolf - 135 Don. - $10, 631.71
Wolverine - 121 Don. - $8, 330.17
Scimitar Horned Oryx - 129 Don. - $4, 989.37
Fennec Fox - 139 Don. - $10, 942.51
Przewalski's Wild Horse - Don. - $
