I am new to ZT2 (I do have ES too) and can't get my downloads to work.  I only know how to go out and get them
as on ZT1.  I tried the path a few people suggested and it said I don't have that path.
Any suggestions as I can't imagine not downloading all the wonderful things all of you make.

This is what I do :
1. Download the animal.
2. Open the file you dl-ed using winzip.
3. Extract the files to your desktop.
4. You will have 1 folder and 1 dl file on your desktop.
5. Put the dl file in the folder.
6. Open the folder.
7. Cut the items.
8. Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2
9. Paste the items.

Go to the ZT2 downloads support thread, you will get help there. :happy
