Posted by: Eagle One Nov. 12 2004, 04:01 PM

If its xp or 2000 go to start then control pannel then in clasic view double click on folder option
then click on the view tab. then click on show hidden files and folders apply and close this

double click on my computer then go to documents and settings tthen double click on your user name hen double click on application data then double click on zoo tycoon 2
thats were your saved games and screen shots are

hope this helps

I not sure on windows 98 or me were the files are located

I not sure on windows 98 or me were the files are located

In win98 the photos and saved games are located at: Windows/Application Data/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon2/...

Posted by: Otter Lord Nov. 13 2004, 03:15 AM
I went there and I can't find it.

Posted by: spin Nov. 13 2004, 03:18 AM
There are atleast 2 "Application Data\Zoo Tycoon 2" folders with XP/2000. 1 is located in your profile folder. The other is in "All Users".
The one in the Current Logged on user's profile holds the savegames & photoalbums.
The one in the All Users' profile holds the downloads & addons.

Posted by: Otter Lord Nov. 13 2004, 03:23 AM
No wonder, I was on the All Users one.

Posted by: raptor Nov. 13 2004, 03:23 AM

Does anyone know how to publish the albums to the web?

Posted by: Tasmanian_tiger Nov. 21 2004, 05:12 AM
My, easy is not the right word for this.

Posted by: Firstborn Dragon Nov. 21 2004, 12:06 PM
Just to make matters fun, that path isn't always correct either. I had at least two extra folders in there before finding my shots.

Posted by: Purring Tiger Nov. 28 2004, 11:50 AM
After much searching I finally found it. Thanx.

For me I went to "my computer, local disk, documents and settings, my name, application data, microsoft games, zoo tycoon 2, my name, photos." I have XP.

I want to post a picture of an ippo with a bush in the middle of his belly.. but I don't know how to get the pic in my post....

I know the location of the pic, but how do I get it here?  I can't see a 'browse-button' underneath this box. What am I missing here??

OK, when you're on the overview map in ZT2, press the button that says "Export Overview Map to HTML" it will then be in the same folder as your other pics.

Most likely that's because it's too big, resize in Paint using the Stretch/Skew option, the pic must be under 100kb.

How would we post the pics from the application data to the message board? Sorry, I'm a bit mixed up in this.

By using the "Attach Files" option (only available for Show and Tell and Current Projects topics) or by uploading your pics to an image hoster such as imageshack.us -- if using the Attach Files thing, your pics must be smaller than 100 kb, if they are too big, resize in Paint using the "Stretch/Skew" option. Hope this helps. :happy

Hello, i have got a problem, when i export my pics to html, my computer seems to freeze i think it is changing it but im not quite sure. Im just wondering if this happens to other people, like it takes a long time. If I have to do something else than just export it to html, please tell me.

Thanks.

This may be off topic, but where do you find pictures that you have taken with the "print Screen button?'' (Thats how you take overhead shots, correct?)

Yep, that's how you take overhead shots.  When you hit print screen, it doesn't automatically save the picture.  What it's actually doing is putting it on the clipboard.  So what you have to do after you hit print screen is open a graphics program (even MS Paint will work) and then choose paste.  I use Corel Photopaint and choose the "New from Clipboard" option so the document you make is automatically the same size as the photo.   ;)

If you open up "my computer", and then 'c:' you should see the file "documents and settings" there. That's where it usually is.
If it's not there then I would suggest using the search function of windows (available from the start menu), select 'all files and folders' and type in "Documents and Settings"
This should help you locate it.

Make sure you've set your options to view hidden files. To do this EITHER (depending on your version of windows) go to Tools ---> Folder Options OR View----> Folder Options.
Select the 'view' tab in folder options and under there will be an optin to enable you to view hidden files.

The best way is often to use an image hosting site like imageshack or photobucket. You can also add pictures into your posts in the show and tell sections by using the attachment feature (a paperclip symbol on it's own next to the white smiley button when you are writing out a new post)

You need to make sure that your files are no bigger than 100Kb and 450x450 pixels.
There's a good resizing tutotial here that should help you out.
