stegosaurus underwater?
« on: July 22, 2006, 08:00:20 PM »
I made a zoo, and in the show exhibit for the Dolphins, appears a STEGOSAURUS! I'm like WHAAA!?!?!?!?!??! :sign_omg:  So, any clue what happened?
P.S. I have the Dr. Frankenstein cheat on.
P.S.S. I have a picture. http://img136.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stegosa2.png

EDIT: P.S.S.S. THIS IS NOT AN EDIT!
P.S.S.S.S. It wasn't born or had an egg appear. A full grown adult just appeared!
P.S.S.S.S.S. This happened before. A kentosaurus appeared in the orca cage. I fed it to the Spinosaurus'. I have 7 of them.

You name a scientist Dr. Frankenstein, and when he visits a egg, it has a 10% chance of changing species.

In all the years I've been playing ZT1, I have NEVER seen anything like that happen before-to my zoos or anyone else's! That's just crazy  and I have no idea what else you may have in your game that would cause this to happen. I don't have the dippy doctor hack, but my guess would be that it's acting a little weird with something else in your game.  Maybe Yellowrose will be able to shed some light on this later today.

Im guessing its a glitch. Do you have a stegasaurus exhibit next to the tank? Thats my guess....mabey the steg ran into the glass and was stuck? How does he breath?

Only three exhibits. 2 Orcas with a show case, 9 or some dolphins with a show case, 7-8 Spinosaurus' and, apparantly, one gilled Stegosaurus. He breathes fine, but no food and can't move. Next time I play, I'm getting him his own exhibit. Then recording all strange things it does.

No no NO! If you name a DINOSAUR EXHIBIT Supercroc, Deinosuchus will become available for adoption.

You people are starting to confuse me.

What version do you have? MM or CC? If you have MM, Ill look into it. Underwater dinos would be awesome!

MM's zoo.exe is the same as CC's zoo.exe (game engine is the same, so same glitches as I can garantuee that the official downloads don't cause any conflicts)

Have you tried selling the dino? (Though you may not want to so someone can look at it) Try doing the same set up in a different map, if it appears again my guess is it's a glitch, a really big, weird glitch.
PS have you checked for scratches on the disk? I don't see how that would cause this, but I think with meraculously appearing dinos, anything is possible...?

:surprise: Wow! :surprise: :surprise: :sign_wow:

I've never heard of this. I did have a Lion's Mane Jellyfish tank next to the zoo wall and I had it really sunk down deep. The tank appeared on the otherside of the wall! But can you get information on this dino, or is he just appearing there and giving you messages. I recommend checking any used downloads.

I agree that this is weird :surprise: ,

I bet you have a Stegosaurus that's caught in between evolving from amphibian life to land; hence, gills. : :P :

In all my years of playing ZT1, that is by far the funniest screen shot I have EVER seen posted!

Just to toss my 2 cents into the pool, I must side with the "It Must Have Something To Do With The Dr. Frankenstein Cheat" line of thought. For some reason, that 10% chance of a "species change" must work on Marine animals every once in a while too....but it's very odd that no one has ever reported this before.

Hey, lucky you! You're a trend setter!

Dude, i´ve never seen something like this before.
I don´t think it´s an edited image...perhaps it´s just a game bug like the ghost animals that sometimes appear (sometimes with arctic wolves, if one dies, the animal keeps appearing even after the game says it´s dead) or the disappearing puma.
You should post your zoo for download!!!
