From our Forum Rules section.

2. Image Posting
You may add an image to a post as long as it complies to the rules below.

the TOS. The attachment must not be larger than 100kb in filesize.

You can use the image tags to link an image from another website.
eg: [*IMG]http*://theURLaddress.jpg[/IMG] This will paste the image in your post.

Or you can use the URL tags
eg: [*URL=http*://theURLaddress]Click Here[/URL] to open a new window to view the image.
There is no size limit for using the URL tags linking to another website.
Please do not include the asterisks

You may also use Zoo Admins attachment feature. This feature is restricted by file-size. There is
a file attachment box under your post, just click Browse to locate the file on your hard drive and
then Submit The picture will then be added to your post providing it is within the specified file
limit as indicated..

Failure to comply with the image/file posting rules will result in the immediate removal of your
privilege to attach images/files and a warning.

How can I make the picture linked to words (click on the word(s) and it takes you to the picture) without having the picture on a website?  I tried the URL tag, and it didn't work. I want to be able to post more than one picture in a post!

Sorry but the only way to have more than one picture in your post is to have your pictures hosted by another website. If they are just at your computer it is not possible.
Now there are several FREE picture hosting websites out there. Two of the ones most used by members of ZA are: Imageshack and Photobucket. Both are free.

your image size or the file size is too big...resize the image to 450x450 pixels and make sure the file size is under 100 kb and try again.

Tyo get rid of the border open the file in a graphics program such as MS Paint. Use the crop tool. Some graphics programs put an outline in the center of the image with dragable handles you drag to the edges of the area you want to keep and other don't for the ones that don'e start in the top left corner of the image and drag to the bottom right corner. This should show you an outline of what you want to keep. if it is not big enough use the side and bottom handles(should be little squares in the middle) to have the outline cover what you want to keep.

Now that you have that done put your mouse pointer somewhere along the outside of this outline in the part the part of the image you want removed but far enough away from the outline so you don't cut out your image. Now just double click in the area you want removed.

You're done. The image may still be to big for the forums so now resize to 450 x 450 and add to your post or host on an image host.

Hope this helps

Some programs do, some don't.

with Paint Shop Pro you have the option to set the pixel size. If using this program always set the highest number at 450 so if you are working with a screenshot of 800 x 600 you would set the 800 to 450 and the program will automaticly set the hieght at what it needs to be (not always 450)

With MS Paint it is a little harder to see pixel size until you have saved the resized image.

Leaving the image open in MS Paint so you can adjust again if needed, open windows explorer and go to the folder where you saved the resized image. Hover your mouse over the image to have an info box appear that should tell you the pic dimensions in Pixels.

I will post a tutorial using MS Paint to resize and image shack to add images to your posts to make explanation easier. It's always a little easier to see what you have to do then to try and understand what is written.: :) :

Can somebody tell me how to take an overview screenshot?  Not the overview map, but a shot of the zoo from above.  That would be awesome!

You press the Print Screen button, whick looks like this:

Print
Screen
SysRq

(usually located on the top of the keyboard)
Then you go to a paint program (MS Paint is esiest)
and click: Edit-paste then save : :) :

@scampneoroxy: the file path for your photo albums is
C:\Documents and Settings\Your user profile\Application Data\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\your profile\photos
Good luck!
