Here is the list of new animals coming in MM2:

1. Beluga Whale (Tundra)
2. West Indian Manatee (Coastal)
3. Bottlenose Dolphin (Coastal)
4. Blue Marlin (Pelagic)
5. Narwhal (Tundra)
6. Sea otter (Coastal)
7. Manta Ray (Reef)
8. Rockhopper Penguin (Coastal)
9. California Sea Lion (Coastal)
10. Goblin Shark (Benthic)
11. Scalloped Hammerhead Shark (Pelagic)
12. Blacktip Reef Shark (Reef)
13. Whale Shark (Benthic)
14. White Shark (Benthic)
15. Leatherback Sea Turtle (Pelagic)
16. Green Sea Turtle (Coastal)
17. Pacific Walrus (Tundra)
18. False Killer Whale (Coastal)
19. Orca (Tundra)
20. Short Finned Pilot Whale (Pelagic)

There may or may not be some unlockable items, we won't know for sure until the full release.

I am loving this list, and most of the animals I've seen in screenshots are so realistic, especially the Sea Lion. I think I'm going to love this XP.

I feel that this has to be the best possible list. THere isn't really anything i can think of that i'd like to change. I wonder how the Narwhal is gonna look?

Scalloped hammer head shark?Iwould had great hammerhead shark,other than that,its an awesome list!!

THe Great hammerhead is very large, and isn't nearly as common as the Scalloped Hammerhead. I guess they went for Common instead of wellknown.

Now that I think about it there are a few animals that I would have changed: instead of having two blackfish, as the False Killer Whale and Pilot Whale are called, I would have replaced Pilot Whale( since none has ever been in captivity) with any one of the three River Dolphins. I also would have replaced one of the turtles with an Eelectric or Moray Eel, since those do grow to a considerable size.

Yeah, when you're limited to 20 animals, you shouldn't make similar ones. Diversity is a good thing.

I edited my post after re-reading yours. Just be careful is all I'm saying. I understand they tried to go with as many as they could and lots of people will be disappointed. All we can do is hope they will keep reading those wishlists lol!

It's simply not possible for everyone to be happy with the animal selection, same as it has been for every other release. That being said, I do agree it's a valid concern. There certainly seem to be a couple of notable omissions.

That sounds like a fantastic exhibit idea! I'm going to make a coastal Zoo, and in the center there will be a large lagoon with a dock (the elevated path) over it. It'll have a White Shark, and it'll have a JAWS sort of look to it.

I've been hoping for a sea lion since before all the original ZT2 animals were confirmed. I'd pay the full $30 just for that. The great white (on the loading screen for the demo)
looks almost like the real thing, and so do the others.

i would have loved some more fish (besides sharks), and maybe a seal but our talented modders can fix that no problem, these animals are soo cool i wouldnt have even thought they would have had more pinnipeds.
edit: is the walrus a seal or sea lion?

I believe walruss (or is it walri ?) are their own species. But they are closests to seals in looks. I wanted to see pictures of some of these. I hope a beta tester posts pics...

: The 5 shark species made me go crazy! My absolute fav. animal in MM will be the Goblin Shark.
i personally think there are a bit to much cetaceans, but there aren't much fish that grow large enough, so that does make sense. Man, its aweosome!:surprise:
i wonder why the great white is benthic though:shocked:
