No, they're not food. They decorative fish and they just swim, like regular koi do.

Opps. Yeah. That's what I meant. I know they aren't food. Mabye we could make other semi-ambient fishes with the new Model Technology...

As far as I remember, they ignore them, much as the ambients.

No. Some use no shelter whatsoever.

Well ya know, if people want freshwater water-based animals, we could always have the coders/skinners/modellers whip something up.
Maybe a bass, perch, and other freshwater game fish to enhance the exhibit?
I mean, wouldn't a land-water hippo tank with talapia be awesome?

the proper name is beta but that would be cool especially if someone gets the fins right. anyway the koi is an excellent idea! ive been to many zoos and if they have hippos they have fishes in the tank with them, and although they always have chichilids someone could always modify the koi. so all in all koi = awsomeness.

I hope we can make proper animals out of the koi!! Just think of all the possibilities!!!

Do animals mind the ship etc? Will they swim through them?

BTW, bettas would be awesome, but I don't think you can make splendens because of the fins. I think you could make the other species, though.

So the new marine fences are glass?  Guests will get an underwater view throught the fences, like in ZT1 Marine Mania?  I hope that is how it will work.

Well, there is a tank wall just like MM1, and there are marine themed walls, just like jungle, tundra, desert, etc that arn't tanks.

You can make marine exhibits in one of three ways:

-Just a regular ol' tank, just filled with water.
-Combined land/tank exhibits like in MM for ZT1
-Having a land exhibit, use the biome brush to place water in the land exhibit, and place the marine animals in the water (no tank needed)

In the pre-release screenshots for MM2, I saw a large building that looks like a whale. What is it for?
