how do you download hacks? do you move them directly into the ZT2 main folder like animals and plants downloads?

You download them just like you download animals/objects. Open the WinZip file and read the Read Me file. It should tell you where that particular hack goes. Most go directly into your
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2 files, though.
