Zookeeper601's Zoos
« on: February 11, 2007, 08:35:38 AM »
My old topic was lost in the move and penguinman said it would be okay to start a new one so here it is!

I'll post all the old pics then try to get some new ones.

Here's the whale shark tank, had to make the inside cut out bigger because you can't place jeep track right next to tank walls :(.

The giraffes' exhibit. It took ages to make because of the surrounding cliff.

Thanks and welcome!

Florida panther river - the track is covered by the river that runs through the whole exhibit (thanks to zoohio for the idea). This one was pretty easy to make.

Okay, here's the Okapi Clearing. An original zookeeper601 idea, place a small fenced area in the middle of an animal's exhibit, then join that area and the outside with an elevated path. This gives the guests a 360 degree view of the whole exhibit.

For okapis, make sure there is lots of foliage since they have no shelters for privacy.

More Okapis, I'm very proud of the pic of the Viewing Area.

Remember, feel free to request any animal you want, I have ZT2, ES, AA, DD, MM and all official downloads.

Here's the hardest one so far, Markhor Mountain. This took about quarter of an hour to make, so hopefully you like it! Unfortunately, the markhors keep falling down the ditches so I may have to do something there but lookwise I think it's lovely.

I decided to place a sky tram tour for guests to see the exhibit as the mountains block off the views. Sky tram is definitely the best way to see the exhibit, I'll make sure to get a pic from the tour.

You're not the only one, Nique, as anyone who has seen my less-than-spectacular cliffs and waterfalls will tell you! :rofl2:

Great pics, there zookeeper601. Sorry your original topic got lost!). If you are taking requests, could I have some PWH, please?   :D

Okay, here's the PWH. This wasn't too hard, although the slope was slightly harder. I thought this slope to lake was a good idea, because there isn't too much you can do with a grassland exhibit except add some sort of water. I thought it would look good if it was the same level at the corner then sloped into a semicircle, so here it is, Przewalski's Wild Horse Lake.

Does anyone have any requests? I find it easier for people to ask me for something rather than me choosing.

Finished, sooner than I expected. This one was quite hard to do because I wanted to get the inner shape as close to the outer shape as possible. The idea is similar to Markhor Mountain except with water instead of mountains. So here it is, Gemsbok Mound.

Open for requests!

That was what my original idea was from, a kind of Motte and Bailey castle sort of look to it. More pics tomorrow morning, a few more Gemsbok then whatever the next request is.
