Penguinman and Nettie's Strawberry Frog and Tree Frog

i put in Penguinman and Nettie's Strawberry Dart Frog and there Red Eyed Tree Frog and when i put them in-game, i found they woulden't eat at all.
theres tons of food in there encloser, i even put in some of all kinds to see if they didn't like insects, but they wont eat anything.

anybody know an easy way i can make em work?

Hmmm.  Well maybe someone will remember better than me about this, but this problem has come up before.

First I think it may have had something to do with XP version.  I think you need at least ES for them to work properly.

Also I seem to remember some people having trouble because they will only eat from the trough of insects which is available at a higher star level than the frogs are.  Someone made an insect dish but I don't know if the frogs can eat from it.

They will only eat from the hollow log with insects. It's available much later, but if you assign a zookeeper to the frog exhibit, he/she will place it even if it isn't available.

Aha, thanks!  I knew it was one of the food options that came up later but the log slipped my mind.  You're right, that was it!

Yup, Penguinman made the insect dish with frogs in mind. They eat from it alright.

assigned a zookeeper, but he never placed the log.
maybe that was fixed in later versions.

as for needing ES, i have that (and AA and MM)
i'll just search for the insect dish.
