Hex editor help!

okay, i have no idea how to use WinHex.  it said in the tutorial to search for .dds, but all i see are pairs of letters and numbers.

personally i would suggest for you to use nifscope, (i find) it's much easier to use that a regular hex editor. I don't know how to help with the problem though i've not used win Hex for ages :ermm:

Open using the winhex and then using the tools at the top have it search for '.dds'. Making sure that the right side of winhex is highlighted, replace the old .dds file name with your new one. Make sure you use the same number of letters...

Use the F3 key to search for the next .dds file (just a shortcut) and do this for all of your .dds files. Save and exit.
