Marine Mania: Save The Zoo

Hello,

I really need some help with this scenario.  I've achieved all the objectives (with the money cheat but what can I say? I'm not that good yet) except for making $750 on the Orca Show.  I've got a show set up yet no one is going to it.  I don't think a single guest has stopped there.  I've tried lowering the price but that hasn't worked, and I can't figure out what's wrong.  Can someone help me?  I was going to try and post a screenshot but I can't figure out how

ive added the screeenshot here and closed the other thread.

I think I see the problem...put the tanks only ONE square away from the tank, the guests won't go to it if it is more.  You could also try lowering the tank (not water level, just lower it into the ground)

Some other tips:
You could try putting it in a more high traffic area, so more guests will go there (unless that is high traffic, i cant see)

The grandstands must be exactly one square away from the show tank in order for them to be associated to the show and be usable.

Thanks Guys! I moved the grandstands closer to the tank and the guests came in hoards! So obviously that was my problem.  One other question...I noticed as soon as my guests started attending the show my guest happiness dropped quite a bit.  Now, I put a restaurant right by the show, but I found all my guests were exiting the other way and going down a path with no restaurant, and all complaining that they were hungry.  Should you put a restaurant on either side of the show?

It couldn't hurt . just remember the formula Happy Animals = Happy Guests and Happy Guests make for a good zoo.

Keep the shows running at infrequent so you animals don't get tired-those specialists will start the shows more often than you think.

Put the show somewhere near the entrance or a major area.  As long as it is somewhere where there are alot of guests it shouldn't be that bad.  For an orca show you can jack the price up a couple more bucks than it comes pre-set at.  It takes time, but you should get it.

make sure your orca show is the only show running, otherwise, guests may go to another show instead of the orca one. ;)

Hi all,

I think I've got a bug in my marine mania.
I'm working on the Save the zoo scenario, and have completed all of the goals, except for the orca show. Normally, gainig a profit of 750 is pretty easy, with an orca show. Alas... not when you cannot adopt animals, and there is no orca to be found!

The scenario starts off with very unhappy animals, and you have to put these in exhibits over 90 suitability. Done that. Now, I see in a walkthrough, that when the animal happiness goes over 90, you can adopt animals again. But no... not in my game. My animal happiness is 98, but no adoption option is available. So without an orca, no orca show.
Has anyone else has had this problem yet?

I thought that the difficulty was in creating a profitable zoo with only the starting animals, and putting their offspring in new exhibits, so I would reach the 9 exhibits with 90 suitability. But this is not it, it must be a glitch somewhere.

Can someone please help??

You can't adopt new ZT animals, you should be able to adopt new MM animals. Make sure your filter is set to ALL or MM, and that you haven't set it to ZT by mistake.

No, it's that the adopt animals tab is completely greyed out. I can't adopt a single animal, not Marine or ZT.

Do you have any user-made downloads? Some of 'em might be causing a bug in your game. Try going through the dlupdates folder to get rid of a few downloads, maybe eliminate some hacks too. A typo in a hack could theoretically mess up your game... so, there's my two cents. Hope that helps some.
