Eating Areas/Houses
« on: October 11, 2008, 09:16:14 AM »
Ok this is how you make an excellent eating area

You will need: ES and MM

1: Make a tank NOT FULL only like a space for people to walk in.

2: Cover it ALL on the top with  elevated paths.

3: Put pathways.

4: Put Eating buildings ( water, burger, hot dog, desert carts ext.)

5: Put benches or tables

6: Put trash cans and recycle bins(you NEED to have recycle bins at home if you wanna live in a world)

7: Go in guest mode and check it out.

8: Put matenence workers.

9: Remove all collums from the elevated paths.

10: Have fun! ;D

How do you remove collumns?

Also that is a really good idea. I wish I had MM but my walmart still hasn't gotten in the complete collection.

You have to remember to install in order of release so install ZT then ES then AA then MM then EA if you have the Dino Danger download install before MM. Remember with each exp changes were made to files. For expansions to work properly they need to be installed properly.

I've tried this before, and its a good idea, but I think it looks rather odd with all the little buildings indoors...

Y2J: You can remove pillars by turning on path transparency to maximum (its in the little pop-up toolbar on the left) and then go through separately deleting the pillars with the bulldozer.  :U1

I have made indoor eating areas and I really like them! I go one step further and I make a ramp that the zoo guests can walk on up to the roof. Then I put benches, trash cans, & binoculars around the edge so they can see my animal exhibits. I also put kiosks up on the roof too. This way the guests have plenty to do up there. I tried putting the tram station up on the roof but none of the guests that came up would go on it.

You could not put in any food stalls and just put in a restaurant, if you want to. You still have to put in a toilet, though. Half the food stalls (fruit cup, coffee, salad etc) hardly ever make a profit, anyway!

BTW, The Y2J Problem, you can actually delete all the pillars, and your elevated path will still stand. I guess gravity isn't really applicable to them. :roll

This indoor eating thing sounds really neat. I only had Zoo Tycoon 2, no expansions, but I'm getting all the expansions this week and I can't wait to try it.  :))

How do you remove collumns?

I know this has been answered already, but I find pictures help, especially since I had no idea where to find the transparency tool the first time I was told.  So, click the little arrow above your info panel and the following menu pops up.  Slide the transparency tool slider all the way to the bottom.

The columns show up by themselves, then, and you can go back with the bulldozer and delete them.

Hope that helps for anyone who wasn't completely clear on it.
