Making a combined land/water/show exhibit

It's been a long, long time since I've played ZT 2, so I need a bit of help here to refresh my memory.  I want to place walruses in an exhibit tank attached to a show tank. I keep getting an error message saying that the walruses can't find any water to drink.  I've forgotten how to make a land area for them to climb on. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. What am doing wrong or missing?

Detailed instructions please and maybe pics, if you could.

(The older members of the site know me, yes, I'm old and forgetful.)

EDIT: Although this doesn't show you how to add a show tank, just add a show exhibit tank wall onto one of the sides of the water area and you're done ;D
