Description: The Koa Tree, is native to the Hawaiian islands, SE Asia and the forest of East Africa. Larger specimens may be over 60 feet tall and 10 feet in diameter. Seedlings and saplings have bipinnately compound leaves; mature trees have foliage consisting of flattened, sickle-shaped leaf stalks called phyllodes.

The Holly Bush belongs to a genus of about 400 species of flowering plants in the family Aquifoliaceae, and the only genus in that family. They are shrubs and trees from 2-25 m tall, with a wide distribution in Asia, Europe, north Africa, and North and South America.

Native to Europe, the Foxglove is widly cultivated. It is a common garden escape and is naturalized in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. It thrives in siliceous or loam soil, but needs very little soil to survive. It is often found in the crevices of granite walls, dry hilly pastures, roadsides, logged-off areas, and rocky places.

Edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum) is one of the best known European mountain flowers.
Flowering stalks of Edelweiss can grow to a size of 3-20 cm (in cultivation, up to 40 cm). The leaves appear woolly because of the covering of white hairs. The flowers are felted and woolly with white hairs, with characteristic bloom consisting of five to six small yellow flower heads surrounded by leaflets in star form.

The African Shrub is based on the Red Oat Grass. Found on the African savannah, it has a slighly lighter color with a brown base and it approximately 1/2 the size of the Red Oat Grass.
