What a wonderful idea this is!! :) I wish I could help  but my computer won't play Zoo2 so all I can do is read the posts about how it's coming along.  I have supported the Humane Society for about 15 years.  It is one of the best for helping so many homeless and abused animals.
Maybe if you do this again I will have a decent computer and I will be able to help too.  In the meantime I'll just keep reading your posts and be kind of a silent cheering section-Thanks for making my heart happy!

Just an update:
The map has started moving again and has been forwarded to Peacenote1 :D She will start on it this weekend! With Hurricane Wilma churning her way to southern Florida, this may be needed more than ever.

Well I was able to start on the zoo a bit early and finished my exhibit.  I chose the Common Peafowl because I think that in  times of trouble it's good to remember that even the smallest and lowliest of us can make a difference.  It is easy to think "I'm only one person" and I thought the peafowl, as one of the first animals available in the game, with low attraction and price, was the perfect reminder of how EVERYONE can make a difference.  Even in the time I've had the zoo the peafowl have gotten over $2,000 in donations!   :happy

While I had the zoo, it hit the one year mark, and we received a commemorative seal for that.  We also had our first rhino baby born.  There was one tragic event though.  Paul and Pauline's baby got stuck climbing out of the deep water.  I received no messages saying he was hungry or thirsty, but noticed his needs all in red as I was looking through the list of animals.  I picked him up and set him on the ground, and immediately it said he was "dying of illness."  I hopped into zookeeper mode and healed him, but even though the vet bag closed up it wasn't enough and he didn't make it.   :(  The good news is Pauline is expecting again.

Also I crated the female African elephant because she wandered around the WHOLE time I had the zoo, saying she was going to give birth, but never did, and in the meantime kept neglecting her needs.  I also added an ATM because guests kept complaining that they didn't have one.

Here are some pics:

Overview of Exhibit
Even the smallest can make a difference.
A female flying off a lookout post.  I think this picture is very inspiring!
Picture taken from the Viewing Area
A great picture of the new baby boy!
Mom and Baby

Hope that wasn't too many pics.   :huh   Anyway, who is next?

Excellent exhibit and your photos are awesome!  :w00t
Please update the donation amounts and post them here. I will update the list.

Half the proceeds from the admissions and all the donation proceeds.

The next person is Sypke!  Please send her a pm for her.

Thanks

I tried to open the zoo a couple of times to get the donation amounts but it keeps crashing my game now.  I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I installed the Expansion Pack.  I did zip it up the day I finished it, when everything was working, so I don't know if you maybe want to see if you can open it?  I did send a PM to Spyke but haven't heard anything yet.

Hahaha this is going to be fun!!!!!

I opened the zoo, and sofar no problems here.

BUT.... while I was looking after the Elephant who wanted to have a little privacy and maybe will be happy when she'll have her elephant house. all at a sudden our guest started screaming like crazy....
I looked what was happening... and guess what?? the Rhino's exhibit has a whole wall disapeared... in other words.. guest running around in the exhibit and Rhino 1 starting to charge after them. I could crate him/her just in time

Sorry I didn't help out with this sooner  :blush my e-mail went crazy. I just got a new one.  :whistle
Anyway, I read Honor's post about donations properly (I was pretty tired before and failed understanding the point) I was absolutely amazed. Not that Honor would do something like that, I know she would, but that....I have no idea, but I was amazed.
May I do Grizzly Bears? I will PM my e-mail when it is needed. :D A huge congratulations to ZA for having such wonderful members....and I hope my contribution will be a good one. :D
